well it turns out nissan is actaully putting the "Skyline" name in with the GT-r... Personally.. i think it looks ugly as sin but.. w/e

What are you on? There isn't one part on the GT-R that looks anything like an HHR.

I'm certain the body shape is based on drag coefficient. It's is shaped quite a bit like the 350Z and it is in keeping with the Nissan corporate image. Personally I think it's drop dead gorgeous.

I like the taillights. I'm disappointed with their front end though, Skylines had presence.

I also dig the tail lights. The r34 is one of the best looking cars ever made, and it looks like they're making an effort to keep some of the cues.

When I looked at the front/side view, the first thing that crossed my mind was HHR front fenders.

Maybe it's just me.

EDIT: Even looking at the pictures you put up, I STILL see HHR front fenders on the thing.

Nowhere in that article does Nissan explicity claim that it will be called the Skyline. Thats just shitty journalism, some dumbass assumed (like many other people have) that it will be called the Skyline. Nissan specifically claimed that the GT-R PROTO is not a Skyline. They are two separate cars. That claim hasnt changed a bit; the car you are looking at is the GT-R PROTO. Not a Skyline.

i like the rear end but the front is kinda ugly. it reminds me of the older skilines combined with a C6 vette.

Me too! I just don't understand what's so horrible about it. Stop trying to compare it to the older (R34) Skylines...it's a whole new evolutionary period for the Skyline.

well if you want rarity then you choice a Nissan Skyline. C6 z06 is like a Honda Civic in my town.

and a skyline is like a honda civic in mine. so i'd have the z06 because it's rarer, faster, and not an over engineered land barge.

Yeah, I remember when I saw a C5 corvette once in the lane next to me, I was like...:boink: fap ,fap ,fap.

There's also a pearl blue 1996'ish Mustang Cobra that I see every once in a while around my neighborhood when I go to the local corner-store and what not, damn that thing is smoking:D
