They are a great car. Good on gas, reliable, and pretty sporty. What year do you plan to buy?

they are a bit of a chicks car. that said, i happily drive my gf's prelude around, as it shits all over my DA9 integra LS.

the last generation aren't as good as the 1992-1996 generation imo, but you have to be careful when buying one, make sure it's in good condition.

Depending on your price range, you could also check out the Acura RSX.

Ehh the backseat has only two spots cuz there is like a middle hand rest or something. So in essence it's a 4 person car and even then the back two seats are TIGHT. Like my cousin has one and he is about 5'11" - 6' and he has to have the seat all the way back and even then he isn't fully comfortable. Don't catch me wrong he can drive perfectly fine but even when his little sister that's about 8 is behind him then he has to bend his knees at like a 60 degree angle. It's a very nice car to like add looks too as well. When and if I can I will you pictures of his car. It's very nice, full bodykit, just some new front bumper and side body parts above the wheel area. Just remember what I said about the seating.

What style do you like the best? The 88-91s, the 92-96s, or the 97-01s? The 88-91s drive/handle the "nicest", the 92-96s do everything awesome, and the 97-01s are more refined and still do everything great. All 3 of these generations have differently styled bodies. The 88-91 Preludes have pop-up headlights so if you find that cool or unique then check those cars out, they also have amazing all-around visibility whereas the other Prelude's not so much. Also the 88-91 Preludes have a "full" rear seat so you can fit 3 people in the back if they're willing to crunch in there.

There is so much to say about these cars that I'm not even going to dive into it all. I wrote a decently long post about Prelude's in the past, but there is no way for me to search to find the post.

Any specific questions and I'll be happy to answer them.

Actually I found my old post...or at least it's the one that I think I made lol I probably made at least a few Prelude posts that I forgot about. I don't even remember making that one you linked. Thanks for looking though, Elliott.

Just wondering, any reason you are set on the Prelude?

I really like Preludes. I was thinking of getting a 5th gen as a DD. The Prelude is classier than the Civic, but sportier than the Accord. My boyfriend had an '87 'Lude, and that thing had some serious pep to it. He sold it to his dad over two years ago, and the guy hasn't driven it since. Two weeks ago a friend of ours was thinking of buying it, and when she went to look at it, it started right up with no problem at all. Very good cars, in my opinion.

They have 156ft/lbs of torque. Not bad for a mere 2.2L 4 cylinder. Any way you look at it, it moves the car with decent authority.

I wish I could do a burn out, but that would take a heavy toll on my drivetrain system.

Or how about I disconnect my drive shaft and do gay FWD burnouts instead.
