I've never played with more than 16 and had it be any good. The interwebz just aren't fast enough methinks.

I used to play PlanetSide all the time. It really was a great game when there was a lot of people. I go back every few months when things have changed and am always disappointed, it seems there's less and less people every time. I really wish another company would make a game like this.

A lot of Return to Castle Wolfenstein: ET servers have player limits above 64.

I do believe barrysworld put on a 128 player quake 3 CTF map a few years back now.

Anything over 32 is really unnecessary because you can't keep track of the people and chat. But if it's like Quake or Tribes where there is no real objective....then I'm cool with that.

Resistance: Fall of Man has 40, GTA: SA Multiplayer patch has 100. But you probably don't care.

You can dowload it for free off the site but you can only get to a certain level. But ill just let you know it really isnt as good as it used to be. But if you end up getting it join a clan they will help you out alot. www.planetside.com
