Man, I got to get myself one of these. At last, I can have desktop powered graphics on my Dell XPS M1210 laptop. Soon, my laptop will blow away my brothers desktop PC in gaming performance. Plus, I will finally get to use that damn ExpressCard slot. :D

I don't know if new desktop PC's have an ExpressCard slot or not? I only have a laptop. If you have a desktop PC you wouldn't need it anyway, you would just use the graphics card. Although, if you could use the Asus XG Station on a desktop PC, you could use an ATI graphics card with a NVIDIA motherboard, and vice versa. :)
So why don't I just go and buy a desktop PC instead? The simple answer is, I don't want one. I bought a laptop because it takes up less space than a desktop PC, plus I can take it anywhere I go. And when I'm at home I can use it with my external monitor and use it like a desktop PC with USB mouse and keyboard, etc. :D

That's pretty nifty but I don't think it will blow away desktops, how is it connected to the computer? I'm having trouble opening all the sites you posted. I may be completely wrong but if it's connected through USB or Firewire that would be a huge bottleneck.

I've just tried the links that I posted and they all work. I live in the UK though. :)
The XG Station plugs into an ExpressCard slot that's on newer laptops, and it provides an external PCI Express x16 slot for graphics cards.
Thats pretty sweet, I was thinking of using those satellite connections for my expansion slot, I guess not now.
