I drove a Miata today, I must say it was a blast, I really enjoyed it. But the entire time I could not get how amazingly gay it is for me to be driving it, almost as bad as a male driving the flower edition VW Beetle.

The models from the early 90's are awesome. They look almost rectangular, but they're a blast to drive.

I'd comfortably drive one, though I'd want to head straight for the B-roads and minor lanes to get the most out of it.

Indeed, I've driven both, I just liked the feel of the S2000 over that of the Miata. Both are pretty snappy around turns, neither was exactly great off the line, but there was just something I didnt like about the Miata I just couldnt quite put my finger on.

they are only gay if you buy one cause its "cute". id so buy a miata with new suspension, brakes, and some really nice tires it would be the best track car ever!

Hell yeah I'd drive a Miata. ANY VEHICLE THAT IS FUN..is game. That's my criteria. And besides, I am partial to the Miata...and the RX7...for their fun-to-drive qualities.

The miata feels gutless compared to the S2000. IMO

The lotus Elise is better than the Miata and S2000, but I would drive a Miata. Wouldn't buy one but the new versions look a lot better then the older ones.

Miatas are not bad. I drove one on Mazda Laguna Raceway in California once. Really nice and handles well. Sure, I'd get one.

Seeing as the S2000 is £10k more car you'd expect that. You need to compare the MX-5 with other roadsters of around £18k

Great job pointing that out. Everyone here mostly compares highend sports cars to eco-cars.

Wait, you mean to tell me a $60,000 car is better than a $22,000 car and a $34,000 car? Thats quite a theory.

The Miata is one of the best balanced cars there are. It is so neutral in the corners that you can put a novice in one and they will perform amazingly. It's lack of power is actually a plus on tight technical courses and they excel in Auto Cross.













With-that-said; no way in hell would I drive one! It's a chick car!
