Great video of the war in the pacific. I liked how the music went very well with the video. Damn those Japs were really determined weren't they? I've watched doc's were the pilots were told to keep their eyes open even at the point of crashing into our ships.

Darkness eh? Fitting music indeed. That fascism was a large part of what bought about the war in the first place!

Great video, I enjoyed it.

After 5 minutes of seeing nothing but sailing vessels and being deafened by what can only be described as the noise you get when you bang two trash can lids together whilst a car engine with the hood lifted up revs right next to your ear, i clicked the X in the top right corner of my browser, and i have since come to two conclusions.

Your 800th post sucked, and you need to be smacked for posting that shittest of shit videos.

There may have been some action there, but after 5 minutes of that... Torture, i just couldn't bear/bare(Not sure how it should be spelled there) any more.

Was surprised to see footage of them taking potshots at the floating survivors. Thought they had surpressed that kind of footage for good. Nice find.

I'm sorry, i don't enjoy watching vessels bob up and down on the sea whilst deafining death/goth metal torture music blasts in my ears. Some people might, but i don't. Like i say, there may have been some action in there, but i just couldn't take it to get far enough into the video to see it.

I don't think it was right to shoot the survivors. They should have pulled up for interrogation and proceed as POWs.

Hmm... You know the horrific attoricites Japan committed in WW2? They did even more horrific things than the nazi's did, and that takes some REALLY horrific shit...

Nah, i would have shot every single last one of them, and dropped a nuke dead center in the middle of every major city.

I bet you those sailors who did the shooting had nightmares about doing that for the rest of their lives.

When it came to picking up survivors of sunken ships, most submarines in WWII ignored them and moved away from the area for fear of an attack by surface or aerial threats. (Look up the "Laconia Incident" on Wikipedia and you'll get an example of why it wasn't a good idea to pick survivors up.) The longer you're on the surface, the more vulnerable you are.

It's not just because of fear of an attack. Those old diesel subs did not have enough food nor space for more people than the crew members.

What would they know? They are mere suicide pilots... They were probably kept in the dark up until the day of the attack and would have no idea when the next attack would be or where it would take place...

For one, mute the music if you don't like it. Two, it was only about a minute into the video before the action picked up.

And finally, stop flaming in every one of your goddamn posts. You've no room to criticize when all you do is bitch.

You sir are a dumb ass. You need to contribute like RX60 or stfu.

Good post. Naval battles like these may never happen again. Aircraft carriers are a thing of the past in that they have lost their tactical advantage if we were to face another super power. Destroyers are already all but phased out. The clips in this must have been remastered and colorized, it looked like footage from the 60s at the beginning not wwII.

Also, Kamikaze pilots were treated better than other pilots during the war (Given better food, beds etc.) because it was an honorable way to die in that era.

Anyone who has ever watched the history channel can see footage like this. But it's great to see it uncut and in such high quality color. They use computer programs to add color to black and white film now by the way.

No your just a biased ass mother fucking twat who cant stand any video with Americans in it. You need to get over your ignorance Dayve, and open your fucking eyes. So you hate America, join the fan club? Now go write a fucking poem, burn a flag, just leave the forum the fuck alone for a while.

The same Dayve that screams his fucking head off about how every soldier in Iraq deserves to die, because every native Middle-Easterner is an innocent victim?

I love WWII, but that was the most boring video i've ever watched. All it was was ships floating, people floating, and guns shooting into the air. Hardcore metal is the worst music out there, I'd rather listen to country because I can actually understand what they say and don't have to walk away taping my ear because I can't hear. Its pretty sad that people wonder why the japanese tourtured captured americans. Watch this video and you will know why, pretty sad that they were representing our military.

You have just lost all credibility.

Back on topic, the lead vocalist of Burzum is Varg Vikernes (The Count), he's in jail for murdering a former band member. He's also been involved (and charged) in arson of various churches across Norway. I'm going through my tracklist of Burzum, been a long time since I listened to Black Metal's finest. Found it, first track of Burzum's Filosofem. Song title: Dunkelheit
