things to consider:
this is for a string quartet. this piece will be performed at a concert at the end of the semester.
i started it a few months back while i was high on prescription painkillers after having my wisdom teeth out. i didn't touch it for a few months, and now i'm finishing it.
this is a midi file, so it is guaranteed to sound somewhat computerized, but not necessarily horrible.
this is in a modified rondo form. generally rondos don't have intros to speak of, and mine lasts a full minute. by the way, i realize my intro starts off slowly and is *ahem* boring. just wait a minute and it'll kick into gear. It's still not quite finished, but here is the structure if you want to follow along...
intro: 0:00 - 1:10 (a minor)
A: 1:10 - 1:25 (a minor)
bridge: 1:25 - 1:38 (a minor)
A: 1:39 - 1:52 (a minor)
bridge: 1:53 - 2:03 (no determinate key)
B: 2:03 - 2:28 (a minor)
bridge: 2:29 - 2:35 (no determinate key)
A: 2:36-3:00 (c major)
bridge: 3:01 - 3:10 (no determinate key)
C (fugal section): 3:11 - 4:06 (E Major)
A: 4:07 - ??? (a minor)
coda: ??? - ??? (a minor)
that's as far as i've gone, but the rest should be easy. just finish the A section and then a small coda and i'll be done.
