It's more of a label sort of thing. Like the Harry Potter books, they always sell like hot cakes yet the latest book (which broke records) was shit.

That's why we always hear "halo is over rated" etc.

H1 and H2 were both exceptional games, H2 was a letdown in some areas, and excelled in others. I'm optomistic that they will get everything right in the 3rd installment. I'll have a good idea on that in three weeks when I get the beta.

Something different, Half 1 plays differently from Half Life 2.

Almost everything about Halo looks the same, except some new quirks and better graphics.

The graphics are not even beginning to be perfected yet, and most of the visual effects that have been finished are not done. The reason it looks like halo 2 is probably because most of the models are from halo 2. its the same god damn game for fucks sake, it wouldn't be halo if it didn't look like halo. Halo 2 wasn't a dissapointment, it just wasn't as good as Halo 1, which is pretty hard to beat, but looking at the rest of the Console Shooter range it beats alot of the mediocre competition (Killzone 1, XIII, etc).

now i love the halo series and the GTA series but i am going to say this..what is the difference between GTA 3 and GTA 4 coming out...all these statements are hypocritical.. tons of franchises have done this!
