this is the dream game for anybody into skateboarding. i used to skateboard, and back then i used to hate tony hawk games due to their unrealistic gameplay.

non-skaters will even enjoy this game i'm sure, but holy shit i can't wait.

They've pretty much admitted that theirs going to be multiplayer but they haven't gone any further than that.

Isn't pretty much everything on Live these days?

the trailer looked identical to Tony Hawk. Both of them dont represent what its really like to skate. the gameplay seems to be under reduced gravity.

Looks kinda cool but I don't think anything will ever top the Tony Hawk series. Those games are so much fun.

This doesn't look original.

What was so great about that trailer?

Anyone notice how out of place the shadow of the skater was on half that footage.

this game will not sell like Tony Hawk.
it is almost made for the niche market of skaters who desire realism in a game. Offcell is right though, the gravity physics look like they need a bit of work still.

I agree that this does look pretty fun, and realistic in comparison to Tony Hawk. Like I said before, I think EA is trying to appeal to those who want a "realistic" skating game. Anyone remember "Thrasher: Skate and Destroy" for Playstation? I thought that was the most realistic and most fun skating game I had ever played. Too bad it didn't get that much hype due to Tony Hawk's game dropping.

They won't work on it, they'll leave it shoddy so the next release will have "Even more realistic physics!!" and help sell the next game... my theory anyway knowing EA.

Plus the fact that it was so fucking hard it was no fun.

I don't think I ever got past the first level of that game, whereas I've finished a couple Tony Hawk games several times over, and still regularly enjoy playing them.

Face it, realism doesn't necessarily make a game good (not that I'm saying this one won't be good, just that the fact it is more realistic doesn't automatically make it so).

A realist Skateboarding game would consist of someone trying to jump some stairs, failing miserably, breaking their leg, then spending the next couple of months in a cast.

Realisim doesnt always = fun.

tony hawk games were made for everybody. EA Skate is made for people with a good knowledge of skateboarding. others will like it too, but they kept the skate community in mind when creating the game.

It doesn't look as "fluid" as Tony Hawk's Project 8 but still gppd.

Err ...

What is the fucking fucked up fuckidy fucking wanky fuck fuck fuck point in that?

"Oh yeah i can skate amazingly ... should i do it in real life further advancing my skills ... or should i stay inside and do it on a computer game ..."

Everyone i know that plays Tony Hawks plays it because just like almost every other game out there 'you cant do it in reallife'

you're right, EA is discontinuing their Madden, NHL, MLB and NBA games because people have decided to play the sports in real life and further advance their skills.

oh wait a minute, that never happend because there's a difference in real life and video games.

fuck i just had an orgasm
