That's become so cliche, I'm not one of these kind of people but MMORPG's are far from being "just a game". People put A LOT of effort into these games, thousands make it their life, if you fuck with their character you fuck with them. There's plenty of unstable people that play MMORPG's and take the games that seriously.

Remember, you should never say anything you wouldn't say to their face on a game. You're talking to a real person with emotions, possibly a drivers license and a plane ticket to come kick your ass.

It is just a game, but they've become so involved it can't be scribbled off like that anymore.

Even on these forums, saying it's "just the internet" doesn't quite cut it, I can assume you're all human beings, capable of many things. The internet has evolved into quite the beast. I personally won't say anything I wouldn't be willing to say in person in game or on forums.
