The N64, no doubt. Ah, back when Nintendo was in its prime...

Nintendo's were only good for Super Mario which kinda got a bit boring after a while.

Sega's were only good for Sonic the Hedgehog which kinda got a bit boring after a while.

See what I did there?

Actually, both of the above statements about the two manufacturers are stupid and untrue.

Some great non-sonic sega games I remember:
Toejam and Earl
Streets of Rage
Gunstar Heroes (BEST SIDESCROLLING SHOOTER EVER)

Some great non-mario nintendo games I remember:
Zelda (duh)
Metroid (duh)
Goldeneye and Perfect Dark

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, although it is true that nintendo tends to lean on their popular franchises (such as mario).

The NES hands down. I can name so many classic games for that console. So many good times.

SNES > Genesis.

But if I had to pick, Beavis and butthead for the genesis was the best sega game. Maybe 1 of 2 or 3 games that was superior on the genesis over the SNES.

I was actually playing beavis and butthead the other day on Sega.

As far as the best console. It's hard to say. I think SNES was probably the best for years, but when N64 came out, it was amazing.

I'll go old school and say the Atari 2600.

If I had to choose the best system, I really couldn't. If I had the choice I would say the original Playstation, Intellivision II, and NES.

Intellivision is such a great system.

That is one system i have never sold lol, cannot beat alex kidd which was pre installed on sms2. Plus of i had to really choose the best system for me, it had to be either the nes or mega drive. Streets of rage i just love.

i'm telling you..if nintendo didn't have that gay licensing agreement where companys can only program games for nintendo and no other company, the master system would have been more popular.

no cartridge blowing, imo better control pad (i prefer it over the NES cross pad thing), better graphics capabilities, better sound..

I know alot of people will not understand this, but my favorite system of all time was the SEGA SATURN.

Intellivision II.
Why pick the worst revision? The controllers are horrible, they never work. The Intellivision I controllers are bad too, but at least they work. Man, I really need to finish repairing my INTV I, I need Burgertime.

I never understoof why Master system games where so different from Mega drive games. Sonic 1 and 2 for master system where in no way similar to Sonic 1 and 2 for mega drive!!

I owned a Coleco as my very first ever gaming system...not my favorite but definately my most fond. Favorite would probably be the NES or PS1. Zelda and Tekken were both awesome.

Sweetest system ever is the Gameboy.

It's the only console in the world that's still in production! If you think about it, the console is nearly 2 decades old!

the controllers werent bad for me. pretty sure my dad picked one up when they were first released and ours died back in 2001. controllers were commited until the system just couldn't last anymore.

it had a great life. i miss it. definately need to pick one up off ebay one of these days.

SNES, best franchised games. I love Sega for most of their unique games.

If you want a system to play then a 1st or 3rd revision is the best. The only problem with the 1st and 3rd systems is that the controllers are not removable without opening the system.

i could never get the controllers unplugged anyway in my old II. even though i was in 5th grade last time i even saw the thing lol.

i'm sorta pissed that we didn't keep all the old cartridges. ebay is showing they shouldn't be too hard to replace though.

i'm probably gonna end up getting a I. i need my advanced dungeons and dragons lol

ebay is showing they shouldn't be too hard to replace though. They are dirt cheap so are the games, try to get manuals and controller overlays if you get one, most games are near impossible to play without them. I don't think I have payed over $3 for an Intellivision game and all of mine are complete with boxes, manuals and overlays.

NES, period, end of fucking discussion!

No, it's not my favorite, but it's solely responsible for bringing back and repopularizing the industry. Without it or it's success, we might not have the game market we have today.

"Nintendo or nothing!"

Remember that slogan? Fucking prophetic!
