I'm trying to find a certain genre of music, but I've got no idea who to search for. If anyone could recommend some music along the lines of having piano, and possibly violinist type things, with possibly some brass, that'd be cool. Usually I'm into rock, but this type of music is really starting to catch my interest. Although this may sound stupid, one thing you could refer to, if you've seen it, is that Verizon family tree commercial. It's the one with the pink bubbles all over it and the one guy at the bottom. Thanks.

Heres something a little more "inspired" although similar -

I could only find one youtube video of the tour - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfE9KhuhsxI

Also have you ever heard any of Jimi Hendrix's work with Band of Gypsy's? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV74PsUo1dc&mode=related

Good.. but I'm looking for more of an instrumental type of music. Yes I know a guitar is an instrument, but what what I was thinking of was more of a violin-ish sort of thing.

You'll either like this or find it completely annoying.

Rock music by a string quartet:

(these are just clips of songs, btw)

And I know you are looking for instrumentals (this isn't what you are asking for at all), but if you like alternative music and you don't mind songs with lyrics, you should try Jump Little Children. They are all classically trained musicians - heavy on strings, but also piano, guitar and drums - who met at a university for the performing arts and formed a rock band. Songs I'd recommend first - All Those Days are Gone; Cathedrals; Close Your Eyes.
