Got it today and gave it one 1/2 full listens (I'm more of a purist with my music - I don't listening to leaked albums).

I have to say, it's some pretty good stuff. My initial take is that there are a couple weak songs, but a few great songs.

Can't really say enough about it yet, but all in all, I'd definitely recommend it

Ministry of Lost Souls is the best, followed by In the Presence of Enemies pt 1 then Forsaken, and the rest don't matter. Overall, better than other artist's albums, but disappointing for DT.

I have to agree with you except I like In The Precense Of Enemies Pt. 2 as well. Constant Motion is alright. For the most part the album is pretty good, but not my favorite at all. Actually I think I prefer Octavarium over Systematic Chaos and I wasn't the biggest Octavarium fan (if it wasn't for the title song I probably wouldn't listen to it half as much as I do.)

I gotta say I'm a little dissapointed in the new album but I was expecting that after I heard Constant Motion and The Dark Eternal Night after the band released them via internet. They're just, eh...there's just something about this album I can't really get into at the moment, who knows, maybe with time...

I bought the special edition album the day it came out, and it is so awesome hearing the tracks in surround sound. This is definately my new favorite Dream Theater album, or at least 2nd favorite. Honestly I don't know why people thought octavarium was bad, and some of the newer albums. IMO their albums are only getting better, not saying that they were bad from the first couple albums, because The First Albums are very innovative and all around good.
