im not sure there is a thread on here dedicated to the fastest motor sport in the world so i think ill make one.
So far this season of F1 has been fantastic.
Instead of last seasons two horse race. this season it is a four horse race, with Fernando Alonso (Mclaren), rookie Lewis Hamilton (Mclaren), Kimi Raikonnen (Ferrari) and Felipe Massa(Ferrari).
Discuss all your thoughts on the current events in the sport like...
Kubicas Crash
The rivalry of the mcclaren drivers
Lewis Hamiltons sensational start to his career

A procession (via Middle English processioun, French procession, derived from Latin, processio, itself from procedere, to go forth, advance, proceed) is, in general, an organized body of people advancing in a formal or ceremonial manner.

Lewis Hamilton is the man. There's no other reason to watch boring F1 other then him.

Yeah I love F1 and am so chuffed that:
*My team Maclaren are finally getting back on top
*An English driver has come into the sport and is officialy the best newcomer ever.
In the 1940s, 20 white guys chasing a black man was called the KKK, today its known as Formula 1. :)
Lewis Hamilton is gonna be one of the biggest ever stars of F1, when he retires his name will be up there with the best (Schumacher, Senna, Prost and Fangio)
And on Kubica's crash... Just goes to show how far safety in the cars has come, 10 years ago he would have been dead, no doubt, but bcoz of the safety measures brought in, namely the HANS (Head And Neck Safety) device which became cumpulsory after the death of the legendary Dale Earndhart at the Indy 500 in NASCAR.

Yeh, and villeneuve in Belgium.
All because he wanted to beat his team mates qualifying time after he was robbed of the San Marino Grand Prix by him.
Lets hope the same doesnt happen with the current mcclaren drivers
I dont know how people call F1 boring. i find the speed control and sheer quality of the drivers amazing. im gutted i havent been able to get tickets to silverstone this year. its usaually gr8 couple of days out.

Well F1 is tough to sell as a sport. There is not an even playing field maybe with Mclaren vs Ferrari but the rest don't have a chance. There are fewer crashes and more engine failures unlike Nascar (which is boring for me too). While it's nice to see driving as a skill it's like steroided up guys versus hungry scrawny men in football.

^^^ I understand your point but then again other teams use Ferrari engines so its not quite like your Stegged-up athlete vs scrawny guy at football analogy.
I do agree that you have a huge advantage if your car is reliable (poor Jenson Button hahaha) and an even bigger advantage if its a faster car, then throw in a quality driver (Alonso, Hamilton, Raikonnen) and you have an uphill challenge trying to beat them.
The same can be said in anysport though, look at football/sawker, the team with the most money wins (Chelsea, Man U).

The other sports have a human element on being on a level playing field from the get-go. The simple fact that there is qualifying for races handicaps the lesser teams even more. They should just do it like in horse racing and have teams get picked posts based on a draw out of the hat (more entertaining).

We have to give alot of credit to the backroom staff, there is no car without them.
