I once played against a professional Quake 3 player ... I lost 2:19, which was pretty good considering most people that played him ended up with a negative score.

A couple of Northampton Saints guys in Rugby, and probably some future pros or semi-pros at football. In 10 years I'll come back to this post and edit in the names of the famous ones.

My math teacher is Carter Livingstone. He used to play for the Toronto Rock..and the Rochester Nighthawks ( he is still in the league, not sure what team though).
But ya..obviously he was the coach for our highschool lacrosse team

Howie Long is related to my cousin by marriage, and I've met him a few times. I bet he would throw the ol' football around with me if I ever see him again.
Other than that, I don't recall playing any sports with a pro athlete. I worked out with a pro bodybuilder a few times though. He taught me a shitload of good stuff.

when i was playing hs football jim harbaugh coached our quarterbacks a couple practices and went to our games when he was a charger and a few chargers lineman came to our practice to coach us lineman, plus harbaugh bought cleats for all the varsity players. its was badass even tho i wasn't varsity at the time but its was cool being tought by nfl lineman. i didn't exactly play with a professional athlete but i was tought by some.

I played with Kalen Thornton in high school. He started 4 years at DE at Texas then played a couple of years for the Cowboys before blowing out his knee.
This guy was a spare NFL player, but he was so ridiculously athletic he looked like a man among boys in high school. Just shows you how awesome professional athletes are.

I never personally have, but I know some people who have. Two of my past football coaches played with current pros. My one old coach played against Chris Snee, offensive lineman for the Giants, in high school, and another one of my old coaches is still friends with Dan Koppen, center for the Patriots.

I scored on OJ Mayo. I closed my eyes and threw the ball up, and it went in. He almost blocked me. It was amazing.
I have also thrown a football around with Chad Pennington, and I have talked to Randy Moss.
This is pretty much a bragging thread... I am not that impressive.

Wait, so was telfair varsity all four years, its just you scrimmaged him with your JV squad?
Also, could you tell telfair would be a freak...although in the nba he has been a bit of a disappointment

Played against Jim Leyland's sons baseball team and he was the third base coach (this was a year or two before he got the Detroit job). Really nice guy, came in our dugout after the game and gave our catcher some pointers and told us we played a good game. Plus he flashed us his WS ring.

My last year in the ECHL was the NHL lockout year, so we were lucky enough to have Curtis Brown and Karpa from the Rangers playing with us. Brown was amazing and could saucer these backhand passes that nobody could do anything with. He was way too good for us. I got turned inside out in a game against the Alaska Aces, where Scott Gomez was playing. They were doing it for less than $500 a week, great guys. Actually Karpa was kind of a prick.
