A "Best boxer ever" poll that lacks Sugar Ray Robinson(who is without a doubt the best ever)?
Despicable.
I spit on this poll.

Lennox Lewis should be up there instead of Evander.

I know but Lewis is easily better then Holyfield. I would say there is debate between Lennox and Tyson but not Evander. Not trying to be a prick but choose better!

I don't see how anyone can say Tyson is the best boxer ever or even in the top 50 really. You've got to consider the quality of his opponents, and he lost every time he stepped in the ring with someone who wasn't scared to death of him.
I do wish he would have never gotten involved with Don King or went to prison though. Who knows how great he could have been.

Lets get to the bottom of this.
Lennox Lewis would have beaten Mike Tyson in his prime any day of the week. Yes, Tyson was an amazing force, he was an animal, but the reason why Lewis doesn't seem to make 'worlds greatest list' is because:
A. He's British
B. He is a boring boxer
Take note of option B. He isn't the most exciting boxer to watch, but with his height and style, he has Tyson covered everytime. I loved to watch Mike Tyson, but boxing fans need to realise that Lewis was always the greater fighter. He wouldn't have gotten his arse kicked by Tyson at 21 years of age, he would have stood back and schooled him with his boring technique.
Get over it. Robinson is the greatest of all time. Tyson was borderline good.
Ricky hatton
Agreed, but it seems like this thread is really (though not stated as such) talking about heavyweight boxers.

Since Lewis wasent on there i went with Ali. He was unreal, and did it withou the use of any performance enhancing drugs.

I have a video of all of Tyson's fights from when he was real young, like 17-21 years old. Through that time, he was the best i have ever seen, no one present or in the past could of messed with Tyson at that time.

Sugar Ray Robinson and Mike Tyson
SRR fought so many fights without a title shot. No one wanted to fight him. A pure boxer through and through. He had the most impressive career imo a long with Joe Louis and his 20+ title defenses. That's insane.
Iron Mike was a flash of brilliance and probably the most feared fighter of all time. If Cuss would have lived another 10 years and protected Mike, and if Rooney was never fired, I believe he could have went 60 -0. Mike used to be a very intelligent boxer. It wasnt just power. If you know the history of his career what I say has credibility. Anybody who brings up his Lewis and Holyfield fights has know knowledge of what a prime fighter looks like. When you are at your best is how you will be judged.

LOL Ricky Hatton is not the best boxer ever, he does well in the sport but he is no way the best boxer ever, Joe calzaghe is twice the boxer he is.
