Good Single Player Games

In your opinions, what are some good single player games that I may be able to dled via torrents. I've already played Fable, which was a pretty cool game, but I am trying to find something else to play...

1st person shooters or rpg's are fine. Any help is appreciated =)

I'm playing Xenogears right now. I'm glad I decided to pick it up seeing how I've had it for 6 years and never played it. The story is a little confusing but it's fun as hell if you're into standard RPG's.

Seriously, isn't Half Life 2 like $20, now? Hell, best sellers drop down to 1/3 of their price after a year. I mean, it's not like PC gaming is that expensive, if you can afford the PC, you can afford the games.
