If you're from a city that has one or no major sports team, what sport would you like to have? And just for the fuck of it, name it too.

We've got MLB, NHL, NBA, MLS, NLL and CFL.
The last one gives away which city I'm in. . .

The only thing we have where I live is a Minor League team. We really don't have much room for a pro team, but it'd be cool to have a Pro Basketball or Football team.

All Louisville has is the Louisville Bats (International League/AAA) and the Louisville Fire (AF2), as well as the Mecca of the Sport of Kings (Churchill Downs).
I would like to see the NFL come to Louisville, but it would never happen. The most likely would be an NBA team (they would be called the Kentucky Colonels) or an MLB team (with which the owners would go way back and call them the Louisville Grey Stockings, which would be kind of cool), and neither of those are likely to happen.

Would love to see an NBA team here in Las Vegas but I'm not sure it will happen any time soon after the All-Star game fiasco

I'd totally go watch if my city had a pro Lacrosse team.
I lied, we do have pro Basketball, London United play in the BBL.
No pro American Football since the London Monarchs died.
No pro Ice Hockey since the London Knights died.
There isn't any pro Baseball in the UK, so the London Sidewinders, Croydon Pirates or Richmond Knights don't count.
There isn't any pro Handball in the UK, so Great Dane, Ruislip Eagles and the others don't count.
Nobody plays Austrailian Rules Football anywhere other than Austrailia right? If we had one, I'd call it The Transporters.
We don't have any Hurling teams either.

I wish Kansas City and St. Louis had a basketball team. If you think about it, it is extremely ridiculous that St. Louis doesn't have an NBA team anymore.

Aside from having an up-and-coming football team that's gonna make some serious noise in the next few years, Jacksonville also has the best city flag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:JaxCityflag.png) in the United States.

toronto!!! i win! i win! i win!
toronto does have a lot
in vancouver we only have NHL and CFL (i i think NLL)
used to have NBA
and we got WHL (which is awesome), minor league soccer and baseball
the next sport we will get will be an MLS team. They are building a brand new soccer stadium downtown vancouver (i believe gastown) and it will attract an MLS team, thats almost a guarantee. After the U-20 success and the big beckham game in October im sure we'll be noticed.
we also get Olympic hockey in 2010 BEAT THAT!!!

Why the hell do you guys insist on everything being a controlled franchise? If you want a Premiership club in your town you're gonna have to build one, get at least 13 players, find or build a ground, pay your league fees and get on with it. If you're good/rich enough you'll get promoted to a higher division and maybe after a decade or so you can get all the way to the top (as long as you have a suitable stadium).
This is the way it works, what is it with the manufactured franchise nonsense?

I was actually just thinking New York needed more sports teams.
