Xbox 360 joystick acting funky

When I am in the console, or playing a game like Forza 2 where you use the left and right triggers to select menus/blades...my joystick seems to try and auto select the right trigger like constantly on it's own.

It there any way to calibrate the joystick and reset all the triggers and joysticks "center"?

i read that bout 6 times and still dont understand, do u play forza 2 on live?

Hmm, I just re read what I wrote and I don't know how I can explain it better...I'll try again though. And no I don't play on Live...not that that would make a difference because it is the controller I am talking about and not the game.

So in Forza 2 you know the left and right menus you can toggle through, such as event/track select, or when you are tuning your car you have all the menus you can go through there. When I am in those menus, with no action on my own part, the menus will auto flip to the right till they reach the end on it's own. So my question is, is there a way to reset the POV of the joy sticks and triggers. My guess is that the right trigger button, when even in an un-pressed state, is still acting like it is pressed just a little bit and that causes the right scrolling.

That make more sense to you?
