(I wanted it to look nice :) )
I'm a level 21 Champion on Brandywine and think this game is better then WoW really. This game feels smooth and the people are nice, you get into it more and it feels kinda real. :boink: World of Warcraft was ok a lot of the people were assholes and the game got old really fast (might be just me) now i've played WoW i have a lvl 65 Warrior, lvl 40 Mage on Area 51, and now once i played this it kinda pulled me away from WoW. The people are a lot more fun than in WoW from what I expericed, if you are alone doing a quest and a party(felloship) comes they will ask you if you want to join. Also in this game its really really really easy to make money. If you just dont sell shit for a long time you can just sell junk and make 100 silver right there(1,000 silver is 1 gold). The storyline is great as well I love how they followed the books more.:bigwink:

Discuss. Also if you are wondering on buying this game dont be scared to ask! :)

I heard that the grinding is similar to that of WoW, but lacks the PvP in WoW.

I played it all the way from Alpha. Its a good game if you're into PvE ALOT. The only pvp is dueling and monster play, which is where you take control of a monster and go around and attack other players. Other than that there is no pvp. The duegons are awesome and ALOT of detail in every part of the game. The storyline is awesome too.

The level system is pretty fast i helped my friend get lvl 20 in about 4 days from just doing quests. The maps are very big and you'll wish you had a horse  Alot more areas are coming on the way aswell like Mordor i think.

I disagree completely about it being better than WoW.

About a week ago, I quit WoW after a year and a half of playing for LOTRO. I quickly went to my local Gamestop, picked up LOTRO, made and account and installed it. I remember all the praise it got when I was loading it up, thinking wow, this game is gonna be better than World of Warcraft. Well guess what? WRONG.

The animations themselves are extremely stiff when compared to WoW. There is nowhere near the amount of content that WoW delivers, and the gear itself looks amazingly gay. There was a level 30 champion in my kinship, and his armor looked like it should have been level 5. And the amount of class choices/race choices has NOTHING on WoW. And also, the skill system is extremely weak, as the combat is weak itself. You know the little squares that indicate what skill you're gonna be using? Well they look really washed out in color and ugly when put up against WoW.

And the PvP? Oh wait, there is no PvP! And one of the worst thing about LOTRO is there hardly is any end-game content, which is what I play for. I had no motivation to play it, and 3 days later I uninstalled LOTRO (cancelled my subscription), re-made my subscription with WoW, and whipped out the WoW install CD's again. See, when you play a game as good as WoW for so long, anything less is CRAP. And unfortunately, as with ever MMORPG I try after WoW, it was CRAP.

Edit: Here's proof if you don't believe me that I own LOTRO:
