View Full Version : ebaumsworld games crash browser on macintosh

My son has a problem with the ebaumsworld games, but only on the newly purchased Imac macintosh. The browser (safari or firefox) crashes when he plays some of the games. We are using the same Comcast cable modem and D-Link router (using the Ethernet cable, not wireless) as the PC. We have tried different Ethernet cables. It is really irritating that we have a new $1200 computer that cannot do the same thing that a 1 GHz windows XP computer could do. Other game sites also have a problem. Any ideas on what to do?

Well, for starters you shouldn't have paid for a Mac, you could have gotten a more powerful PC for the same price.

Try checking if you have the latest version of flash:

Also, check to see if you have the latest version of Java:

Evidently those suave advertisers were wrong. It's just little niggling things like these that Mac obsessors love to ignore.

mine did occasionally a few months after i got it... turned out to be a faulty logic board and since they have replaced it i've had no problems.

You missed my hilariousness. I did teh whitetext haha funny stuff. Ohhh yeah.

Seriously though, Mac's crash almost as much as Windows PC's- they just put cute little bombs or other silly icons on the screen instead of telling it like it is.

nah, i saw the white text, i even quoted it.

and no, macs dont crash as much as pc's. i have 2 macs in my house, 1 of which has never crashed, the other hasnt crashed since the faulty logic board was replaced. there are 8 macs at the studio i work at, and only 1 of them crashes, and i chalk that up to being a 4 year old model.

i am unfamiliar with these bombs you speak of
