When I started, I followed orb's tutorials. They're all hosted here. (http://www.trickystutorials.com/) Tricky's got the basics, but if you pay attention to orb, you will learn the basics.

Gmod 10 is most defiantly worth buying. So many upgrades to 9, I don't even think I could play 9 anymore.

If you have Gmod10, definitely download Stacker and Autosnap. They will make your life a hell of a lot easier. Also remember that SHIFT+E with the physics gun will make perfect 45/90 degree angles.

Indeed, much fun. We didn't get much done, but it was fun trapping you in a cylinder welded to the ground and setting your spawn there.
If you have Gmod10, definitely download Stacker and Autosnap. They will make your life a hell of a lot easier. Also remember that SHIFT+E with the physics gun will make perfect 45/90 degree angles.

Stacker is helpful. I think that smartsnap is way better though because it draws the grid on what you are looking at, not what is closest.

Damn, I didn't even realize Smartsnap existed. Much better indeed. It fixes all the problems I have with Autosnap!
