xbox 360 question

so im looking to buy a 360 later tonight and i was wondering if, since its been a year or so is there a chance of the xbox eventually dying and comming up with those god damn red lights. or has microsoft fixed that. now that the 360's have been out for a while now.

i dont know, its kind of a stupid question but i dont know anything when it comes to that shit.

I would suggest you get one at Target and get the $29 extended warranty deal...seems to be the best warranty as far as cost goes. The newer Xbox's are OK with the red light issue...at least as far as I have experienced and read.

Probably not till the PS3 does. Why would MS drop the Xbox 360 price until the competition does. And they just released their Elite version which sells for $480 so the $400 system is not their "midline" version. Add to that that Sony already loses something like $155 for every PS3 they sell so IF PS3 were to drop in price, it wouldn't be till the Christmas season. But I doubt it even then...

Or you can go to cosco and buy your xbox 360 and if it somehow fails like 3 or 4 years later, take it back for a full refund! they have the greatest return policy ever! you could return a half drunk gallon of milk and say you didnt like the taste and they'll give you your money back!

My box fucked up too. I got mine back at Christmas and it fucked up around May. You should get an Elite though. I haven't heard any stories of them fucking up.

Yea it was weird. There was no gradual change. One day I came down and it stopped playing my favorite game and then the next day it wouldnt play any games. All I had to pay for was shipping though. But it took a whole month for me to get it back.
