well every since I had to reformat my computer (thus losing all my music) I have tried to download some. I haven't had much luck though....

I'm searching for any genre of music, (cept country I'm sorry but I can't stand it....) to download, so if anyone has any suggestions on what I should get please state them here......

Also noted, I wanted to post this here instead of the requests forum because not much people look at the requests...

Thanks in advance, CowKillaMooMan

Actually what I meant was suggest bands from any genre so I could check them out and listen so I could expand my musical horizons.

if you get the new limewire, you can just type in a certain genre..say rock, and it will come up with a whole bunch of good rock artists that you can choose from.

Just browse the ''what are you listening to right now'' thread, it has like 30 pages worth of music. and thats all for now.

Get DC++ and find a good public hub.

I find it a bit strange that you're effectively asking people to make your choices for you though. Sure, in the past when I've been new to a genre I've asked for recommendations in that genre but you seem to be asking for us to recommend any band. It's a great thing that you're trying to broaden your horizons but that doesn't mean that you should take every recommendation.
