New Bill & Ted Due
A direct-to-DVD third installment of Bill & Ted in the works.

July 11, 2007 - On July 11, 2007, IGN has learned that MGM is developing a brand new, direct-to-DVD installment of the legendary duo of that movie greatness is made of: Ted "Theodore" Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esquire! That's right, an all-new flick starring Bill and Ted is in the works.

But will it contain the spirit and sly humor of the original, with the series' original writers, Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, out of the picture? All-new writers, Gabe Grifoni and Suzanne Francis ("Wieners"), have been recruited to bring out the best in San Dimas' most excellent scholars of rock 'n roll. Will it be as gnarly as the original, or as bogus as the quickly defunct TV series?

You know what's bogus? No other details have been announced. That is most un-excellent. But fear not, dudes, we'll have more on these righteous fellows as it develops, so stayed tuned to IGN DVD for everything excellent.



Whoa...Totally not excellent. Actually I dont care all that much, but I think it'd be funny to try and see Keanu do Ted at his age.

This is just like when they made Dumb and Dumberer and got another actor to be Jim Carrey.

bill and ted's excellent adventure is awesome this reminds me i gotta watch it again

i'll be honest. i want to see keanu do another bill and ted. but they should make it all futuristic and cool like the matrix

Damn. The first was great, the second one was pretty good, but I don't have much faith in this one.

1. It's straight to DVD. :(
2. It doesn't have the same writers. :(
3. It most likely won't have the same stars because Keanu is a big shot movie star now, they're kind of old, and I don't think Keanu would want to do a straight to DVD. :(

But I'll probably rent it anyway. Hopefully it isn't a total failure.

Didnt they say all they needed to say in the first two? I love Bill and Ted more than anything, but this is just shit.

great ace ventura 3 is being made too featuring the son of the original ace. this one is straight to theaters. it's gonna suck. now a bill and ted 3? directo to dvd. it's gonna suck. does anyone in hollywood or at least anyone who makes movies have an original idea nowadays?

Even with the original writing cast and actors, there's nowhere they can go with this. It's going to suck. As much as I hope I'm wrong, I have no doubts.

Keanu Reaves said he never wanted to play Ted again in his career because he needs\needed people to take him seriously, remember that one time at the emmys\loggys\some movie award they wanted him to read out the words 'most excellent' and he threw away the speech and got all pissy.
