Haha, well, as an umpire (only for the youth leagues though), it can get difficult to see just how low those pitches go when you're behind the catcher.

Usually if Bonds doesn't swing it's not a strike... he does have that respect whether you like him or not. Unfair? Yep but rookies have huge problems when starting the league.

Well if you have to groove a pitch down the middle to even have it considered to be called a strike then that's certainly to his advantage.
