I think preseason polls are what fucks up college football. Wait until a few weeks to even make ANY poll, thats one good thing about the BCS poll. It seems like every year at least 1/2 of the top 10 is compeletly wrong come january. If they would wait you wouldnt have the faggot coaches at auburn bitching every year becuae they think they got "screwed". This would also eliminate Notre Dame, which like the bengals are in the NFL, just a shitty skidmark you cant get rid of. Remember last year, that guy, civic2000imgay whatever his name was, all this talk about how texas should be #1, going to blow Ohio State out, blah blah blah. Thats the kind of shit preseason polls bring.
Remember this?

As much as I want to pick Kentucky to win the SEC, it's just not basketball season yet.
However, I will step off the beaten path and select Auburn as a dark horse champion.
I think this is the year Nebraska finally blossoms under Bill Callahan, but they'll fall in the Big 12 Championship Game to Texas.
I see a Wake Forest repeat in the ACC, and of course, US-fucking-C in the Pac-10.
I'm picking West Virginia to win the Big East simply because I can't stand to put Louisville there. It all comes down to that November game in Morgantown.
As far as the Big Ten goes, everyone's picking Michigan. In my usual way of not following the trend, I'm going to pick Wisconsin.
National Championship -- West Virginia-USC.
Edit: And let's not forget that Kentucky will defend it's Music City Bowl Championship. Go Cats!

I was planning on being in Lexington for UK's ass-raping of EKU, but I have to work.
However, I should definitely be there next Saturday for the ass-raping of Kent State.
Buffalo-Rutgers should be a good game tonight, as well as LSU-Miss. St.
Yes, I know, Mississippi State fucking sucks, but they usually get up for LSU, and I think LSU's gonna escape with a 10-14 point win, but it will be well earned.

three things that stood out to me:
1. Michigan shouldn't be in the top 25 next week.
2.This clearly shows pre-season polls shouldn't be released until early October
3. Appalachian State deserves to be in Division 1 football.

This exact same thing could have happened to Boise just as easily. No one saw that coming, com'n.....you could have asked 100 people before the game who they thought would win and every single one would have said Michigan.

I'm not saying Michigan shouldn't have been rated. They usually finish ranked. And you're right, no one saw that loss coming. What I'm trying to point out is the obvious bias that these polls show to those teams like Michigan. Boise State went undefeated last year and yet are only ranked 23rd. For example, I can understand my team, Arkansas, being ranked 21st. We've got the two best backs in the SEC, but we lost some players, we lost a coach, we lost three straight to end the season last year. What happened to Boise State? Not a whole lot.

This week in College Football History
Sept. 16, 1989: SMU rallies late in the fourth quarter (17 points in the final five minutes) in a comeback engineered by QB Mike Romo for the "Miracle on Mockingbird" 31-30 win over Connecticut. It is the Mustangs' first victory since being suspended from football play by the NCAA in 1987 and then taking a voluntary year off the gridiron in '88. Coach Forrest Gregg calls it one of his most enjoyable wins in the college and pro ranks as the Mustangs overcome a 23-7 halftime lead by the Huskies. Romo tosses a four-yard TD pass to WR Michael Bowen on the final play of the game for the one-point win. The win is listed as the No. 8 moment in SMU football history among the Top 90 school happenings all-time.
OTHER NOTABLE DATES:
Sept. 11, 1913: NFF Hall of Fame head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant is born in Moro Bottom, Ark. He stars as an end at Alabama, begins his coaching career as an assistant at Union (Tenn.), Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Navy North Carolina Pre-Flight programs along with armed service in World War II and later wins 328 games as head coach from 1946- 83 at Maryland, Kentucky, Texas A&M, and Alabama.
Sept. 12, 1964: UCLA becomes the first West Coast team to win a game at Pitt Stadium in 11 all-time intersectional meetings in a 17-12 edging of Pittsburgh. QB Larry Zeno put the Bruins ahead early with a 61-yard TD pass to HB Steve Durbin, and second half comeback attempts by the Panthers fell just short.
Sept. 13, 1913: 1955 NFF College Hall of Fame inductee Clint Frank of Yale is born in Evanston, Ill., and goes on to be named both 1937 Heisman and Maxwell Trophy recipient after a standout four-year career for the Bulldogs.
Sept. 14, 1991: Marshall Faulk rushes for 388 yards as San Diego State takes care of Pacific 55-34 en route to a 8-4-1 mark and berth in the Freedom Bowl.
Sept. 15, 1973: NFF Hall of Fame RB Archie Griffith has the first of 31 consecutive 100-yard rushing performances as the Buckeyes outlast Minnesota. The skein lasts through Nov. 22, 1975.
Sept. 17, 1966: Former LSU head coach Paul Dietzel returns to Baton Rouge, La., as head coach at South Carolina for the two teams' '66 opener. The Tigers prevail 28-12 as the Gamecocks cannot overcome drives of 80 and 74 yards by the Tigers in the opening half.

I'm very happy that Michigan and Notre Dame will both be winless when they meet. Hopefully they'll figure out a way for them both to lose again.
Louisville's defense was horrible last week against Middle Tennessee State, but I'm hoping that it was just a case of looking ahead to the Kentucky game. If it wasn't, I'm going to have a bad weekend. At least Brohm's Heisman campaign is still going strong.
South Florida beating Auburn was a big win for the Big East.
Oklahoma and LSU each looked very good last week, and they also helped make the ACC look very bad.
I'll make a prediction this week.

Two losses at home, including one to a Division IAA school or whatever they're calling it now, proves that they are not better than that.
I would say the main problem is that their defense is slow and inexperienced, which results in losses when you face fast spread offenses.

The LSU Game, I only have a few things to say about it. Perriloux should be playing more. Doucet should've played. Play calling needs to change. We need a tail back, not a full back. Lee Corso called Ohio State the most consistant team in college football and that goes to sho you that Lee Corso is an idiot. LSU is still the most consistant team in CF. They lost in 3 OT to a very good Kentucky team and have beaten 3 teams this season that have seen time in the top 10. They have had by far the brutal schedule and have done a phenomenal job. South Florida has also beaten good competition.
I believe when you rank these teams you should ask yourself who you would take in a direct matchup on a neutral field. I can think of atleast half a dozen teams I would take over OSU and I would still take LSU against anybody. My rankings:

6 Major Conferences declare a champion
4 Mid-majors declare their champions
Mid majors play each other for 2 playoff berths
6 major conference champions and 2 mid major teams play a playoff. Current BCS bowls serve as place-winner games for 3rd, 5th, and 7th, alternating each year if they so wish. All other bowl games can work as they currently do with invites based on place in conference. You get your bowls still which still matter in addition to playoff games which wil be nuts.

Are you seriously trying to blame everyone elses failures on ohio state? They started outside of the top 10, everyone else lost so they moved up. What the fuck do want them to do? When they scehduled washington years ago they were actually good, is it their fault they ended up not being very good. Also ohio state HAS to play these other smaller ohio schools, ITS A LAW. They need to play at least one every year, and then they had to add kent state quickly when the ncaa decided to add another game to the schedule out of nowhere. Ohio State couldnt schedule another series like how they had with texas, then USC in 08-09, miami 10-11, va.tech 12-13, oklahmoa 14-15, becuase the texas series got pused back causeing the washington series to be split up between 03 and 07, and only left a 1 year span between OoC series(07)leaving ohio state no option but to schedule another inschool team. Dont blame ohio state, they are just playing the game.
The Jokes on you…Sports Writers…
You listed them 1-10 in the preseason (USC, LSU, WEST VIRGINIA, TEXAS, MICHIGAN, FLORIDA, WISCONSIN, OKLAHOMA, VIRGINIA TECH and LOUISVILLE)…and they ALL failed you…so now you blame us: Ohio State (smile)…
And you “do” blame us-in fact-you despise us, it seems. “Ohio State shouldn’t be there”, many of you (along with the fans of your underachievers) are collectively screaming.
But this is your own fault. You, in your presumptuous type faith, billed these teams as the top tier of college football this year-and true enough many of these teams are top tier…but you didn’t expect many of them to lose the way that they did-did you?
Now that you see that we (OSU ) are not sad and droopy eyed from last year-but pissed off and ready to take names-you call our conference (The Big Ten) weak-when you had two of them ranked in the top preseason 10…and those two failed you-they “played” your sports knowledge credibility and made you look as foolish as you were when you SWORE that we (OSU) would beat Florida in the Championship game, last season…Don’t feel too bad about that-we made the same mistake.
USC ‘07: “The Best Team Ever”-many of you hailed them-now you’ve turned on them like teens on their parents because they lost to a bunch of ‘schoolboys’-who had had enough…
LSU ’07: Your second string “Golden Boys”-didn’t quite live up to your billing either did they? They weren’t supposed to lose-were they? But the “Blue man Crew” stopped that nonsense about your new “unbeatable team” hailing from the “all powerful” SEC.
And now here we (Ohio State) come-young-supposedly “rebuilding” and we’re doing a lot better than you thought possible-thus far-another shock to your so called “sports knowledge”. You pissed at the BCS ratings-fine then-blow it up (I won’t tell who did it)-but until then you’ll deal and reap what YOU, and your writer buddies, sowed. You placed these clowns on the top of the college football world-and many of them lost to programs that you felt they had no business losing to-and if you really feel that-then why the hell do we have these teams play? We might as well just award the winners based on who “you” think should win…Why play?
A lot of your preseason “Top Ten” has fallen to these so called “no bodies”-the likes of who you say we’ve only played-and these “no bodies” seem to be the real threats this season-don’t they? And we-unlike many of your preseason ten-seem to be dealing with them quite well.
A little bit of advice-so you may not look so foolish in the future: You can’t predict (with any certainty) the way the season is going (or supposed) to go-so stop expecting it to go the way that you predict. You didn’t predict that we would keep our heads up after that major loss and play like WE’RE ON A MISSION-you didn’t predict that Appalachian State would play like the Champions they knew they were-you didn’t predict that with all their “talent” that USC would suddenly become mediocre-you didn’t predict that LSU would fall to the very conference you all lust so much…and suddenly you try to give them a ‘band aid’ with “a tough schedule” teddy bear animated on the wrapper.
OSU: we deserve to be where we are-because if any of your “predicted” teams were #1-in the polls now-you’d hail it a system that got it right…When I was a child-I played “Techmo Bowl” and allowed the teams to play one another via the computer-and if a team “that wasn’t supposed to win”-won-I’d get upset and turn the game off-to restart it…But “You” can’t do that-can you?
It’s not going as you (or the rest of the country) planned-is it?
So now you want to make excuses of “weak schedules” and “terrible systems” to placate the “boo-hoos” of teams who couldn’t take care of their “should-a-wons” …
Maybe your next year’s preseason Top Ten selections should be considered with the consideration not only for a team’s talent and returning players-but also for team “desire, pride…and not giving a damn how low you people rank them in the preseason.”

Everyone loses, but that's Ohio States fault. They shouldn't be number 1, even though they are undefeated. South Florida vs Ohio State, who would be the Favorite? Ohio State probably, so you have to go by that. And that other shit about LSU and all them, they are better even though they lost, Yeah, fuck that, They Lost. The Goal is NOT TO LOSE. Yay theyre undefeated, with the 58th hardest schedule in CFB according to CollegeBCS.com. South Florida has the 9th hardest according to their rankings, now why on earth is an undefeated team with the 58th hardest schedule ranked higher than an undefeated team with the 9th hardest schedule? Could it be that people are voting for laundry? Drop South from USF's name and there is no way they arent #1.

Not really sure why we all bitch about this shit now. Even though i hate the BCS, at the end of the year they Usually get it right, other then that year with LSU OU and USC. But i have a feeling that this year will big a cluster fuck. I see my buckeyes losing to Michigan, i don't see OU losing again, that and LSU, And you never know about USC. Might have a season where the top 10 is all 1 lost teams.

Its a big deal because it exposes how flawed the system is. Based on the results as of last weekend, OSU should no way in hell be ranked #1. Just because the season didnt end today doesnt mean its ok. What if it did? The system has fucked up royally.

A Rutgers team that was in the top 10 3 weeks ago. So, yeah, youre an idiot. USF will be dropped huge for this, even though Rutgers is a good team and they have wins over WVU and Auburn. USC lost to Stanford and they didnt fall out of the Top 10, the system is fucked. AND USF is still more impressive than OSU. Again, USF has victories over Auburn and WVU, OSU hasnt beat anybody relevant.

They Beat a WEAK Auburn Team, A WEAKKKKK WVU team. Wvu i don't even get why they are ranked so high every year, they've beatin one good team in the last 5 years and that was Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, which they ALMOST LOST! And they were up by like 30 or some shit. USF plays in a Weak Big East! I mean, Boston College is undefeated in that Con, and they will probably get their ass kicked next thursday by Va Tech. You act like South Florida has played and beatin OU, USC LSU, they played scrub programs who are only ranked high because they were ranked high at start of the year. Granted, Auburn beat Flordia, but Clearly Florida isn't the same team as last year. I am more then Confident to say that Michigan and OSU could beat everyone in the Big East, On the road. WTF do you consider a good team? They have to satisfy a super elite criteria that they play in which BCS conferences? Are ranked atleast what? And have won what bowl games?
Just last year WVU beat a highly touted Rutgers and beat Gerogia Tech in the Gator Bowl? Is that not good enough? Its no worse than Ohio State playing in what truly is a weak Big Ten and only managing an impressive win against Michigan, the same team that got blown out in the Rose Bowl before they themselves got blown out in the NC Game. WVU almost losing the Sugar Bowl is evidence that they are weak? Congratulations, youre fucking stupid.
Auburn also is ranked highly and this season has beaten currently ranked KSU, ranked Florida, and defending SEC West champ Arkansas. WVU and Auburn are not fucking weak. And even if they were, they would each mop the floor with Washington, the "best" team OSU has beaten this season.
USF plays in a Weak Big East! I mean,
Aside from the fact that the Big East is not weak and you base that statement solely on laundry, the Big Ten is probably the 5th or 6th strongest of the 6 BCS conferences. The Big Ten, whose number 2 has lost to the 1-AA champion and been blown the fuck out by Oregon. Yay them. The Big East went 5-0 in Bowl Games last year including the Orange Bowl compared to the Big Ten that went 2-5 including disgraceful blowouts in the Rose Bowl and NC Game. Which conference is stronger?
Boston College is undefeated in that Con
BC plays in the ACC you moron. You dont even know what conference an undefeated plays in and you have the balls to debate college football. Its amazing.

Can't have a 1 lost team leap frog them. Why not? You're telling me that from an objective standpoint you honestly believe that a 7-0 team with wins over Washington, Purdue, Northwestern, Youngstown St. Akron (3-2 at half), Minnesota, and Kent State is more deserving than of a #1 ranking than a 6-1 team with a loss to Rutgers and wins against Auburn and WVU or a 6-1 team with a loss against Top 10 Kentucky and wins against Florida, South Carolina, and Virgina Tech? If this disgraceful season ends with OSU as #1, prepare for an embarrassing blowout by LSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, Kentucky, South Carolina, BC and generally whoever makes the championship game opposite your overrated team.
I went to a 1-AA school. An academic institution. Not a large school dedicated to giving a document to every retard the state of Ohio could possibly turn out. I dont have a 1-A team. I just enjoy college football and this entire mess is fucking with my enjoyment.
You really arent worth talking to anymore, I mean you said that winning the Sugar Bowl was evidence that WVU was a weak team. You won't and can't defend your team on the merits. All you can do is call me a bitch and ignore a point by point rebuttal that exposes the absurdity of your ranking and the perception of 1-A powers for what they are; Bullshit. Fuck OSU.
BTW, you are ranked 5th by the computers. Coaches and Harris are 75% of the BCS so saying you're ranked 1 by the BCS is redundant. Youre ranked 5th by the independant statistical analysis. Makes me want computers to matter more than knee jerk coaches and old guys.

Boston College showed me something, no way i had them beating Va Tech, and after watching 56 mins of that game, i thought i was going to be right. I still say Oregons better. Oregon vs ASU is going to be a good game next week.
South Florida, to quote Denny Green "They are what i thought they were!"
SEC sucks. I though that was the one decent conference, and it's just as shitty as all the rest. Every team is on equal ground, that doesn't mean the conference is good, it means everyone sucks equally. I did like what UGA did when they got their first touchdown, stormed the field. But i bet that sets a trend. My top 5
1. OSU
2. Oregon
3. Boston College
4. LSU
5. Oklahoma

I'd like to see Kansas get to the National Title just because it'd be like George Mason going to the Final Four. But Missouri's fine too. My biggest thing going into this year was just hoping that USC and Florida don't go.
As fas as Hawaii goes, they have played by far the weakest schedule (even weaker than Ohio State), and if they win out, they definitely should not go to the National Title game, although I'll grudgingly give them a BCS game.

oh sweet no double post...thanks liberator...
is anyone else sick and tired of seeing the jayhawk bandwagon grow steadily larger? ok them and hawaii are undefeated blah blah blah. they have played 1 ranked team, KANSAS STATE who blows dick and all the sudden they just skate in above OKLAHOMA and MISSOURI? whoevers in charge of bcs ratings musta graduated (i know weird right) from kU because thats just bullshit. i would have to say aside from missouri being on the schedule, that hawaii has a harder schedule than gayhawks. Missouri's gonna keep plugging and just wait. i'm calling missouri-oregon in the title game....just need LSU to lose one and missouri can hop over all the others with huge upsets at arrowhead and the big 12 championship......things are gonna get interesting.
*oh did you see KSU's embarassing loss to NEBRASKA??? yeah they're about as credible as the team that uses the victory over them as main evidence why they should be #4 in the nation*
Well Kansas routed Nebraska so saying that Nebraska beat the shit out of KSU is proof that Kansas shouldnt be ranked so high doesnt really work. Your weak schedule point is valid, except that Kansas will have the opportunity to prove themselves. They have to play Missouri, and if they win that game, which would be an accomplishment in its own right, they will play Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship. If they were to win that game, the weak schedule argument would be out the window. I think that if either Missouri or Kansas win there game and then beat Oklahoma, they would have a very strong claim to the title game, Oklahoma a little less so but still strong and viable. Unless the upset bug hits either LSU or Oregon, we are going to have 3 teams with legit championship game claims. Yay for the logical fairness of the BCS!

mmmhmm things are gonna get very interesting indeed. I was recently informed that:
1. the colorado head coach came out in a press conference (who has played missouri, kansas and oklahoma) claiming that not only is missouri the most challenging team they've faced but that they should be in the BCS title game for sure
2. the oklahoma head coach came out in a press conference and when asked about the game at home against the tigers responded "i know we beat missouri before, but its definetly not a team we'd like to see again"
this is gotta be missouri's year. our tight ends are averaging the best in the country, chase daniel has made top 5 candidates for heisman this week and with the help of wide receivers jeremy maclin (SICK skills freshman straight from kirkwood missouri, my necka the woods) and william franklin and a tough defense allowing 22 points per 41 offensive points a game......................
as i write this from the main commons of MU's computer lab i'm swelling with pride....we'll be a contender for a few years to come

John Brown says, "Suck it, Slaver."
Did they decide to just give up on the English department at MU or what?
Kansas has heard your spiel from every team they've played this year. "You can't beat Central Michigan, they won 10 games and their conference last year." "You can't beat Toledo, they embarrassed you on national television last year." "You can't beat K-State on the road, you've gotten fat off a weak schedule and they almost beat Auburn!" "You can't win at Colorado, you haven't even played outside the state of Kansas this year." "You can't win at A&M, Mangino has never beat a Big 12 South team on the road." "You can't win at Oklahoma State, their balanced offense will be what finally exposes you."
Slink on back to your delusional tigerboard where you can join in the discussions (http://www.tigerboard.com/boards/missouri-tigers.php?message=5040352) about whether or not the MU offense is more talented than the New England Patriots offense. And you better bring your best game on Nov. 24, because we'll be bringing the grit (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jA4oDla3npQ). We'll be bringing the heart (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN3pg8Tkngs). You guys are the Real Deal Holyfield?! Oh, shit, I guess we better not bother showing up then. You, sir, have put me in my place.
Also, excellent job of using a loss as proof that MU is the better team. Moral victories are pretty sweet. By the way, you lost by 10 at OKLAHOMA'S HOMECOMING. And, you had to score a trash touchdown with 12 seconds left to get back that close.
I know what MU's offense is capable of and I know they'll likely put up 30+ points. But MU's defense has problems. They have the 96th ranked run defense in the country despite their opponents spending most of the second halves of games passing. MU's defense is built around creating turnovers to be successful. The problem for them is Kansas doesn't turn the ball over. If Kansas continues to take care of the football, they'll go up and down the field all day.
My mom can't cook? LOL. Buuuuurn.

Probably because it's Kansas. The thought that Kansas could be playing for a national championship in football is kind of neat, even if it is those damn fucking Jayhawks.
Personally, I think they'll lose to Missouri, and Missouri will lose to Oklahoma, and we'll have LSU vs. Ohio State.
But also, I kind of hope Kansas wins, even if they are the fucking Jayhawks.

Forgot about them. Thanks. No, UConn has benefited from a soft schedule, a blatantly bad call against Temple, and an unfair catch against Louisville.

They still have to play a pretty tough UConn team. And it would be WVU's style to lose that game, or against Pitt. I think the Buckeyes have the luxary to sit around and let shit play out. They don't take many Idle weeks off during the season, so teams plays 2 or 3 games while the Buckeyes plays zip. So i would not be surprised if the Buckeyes end up number 1 or 2 before the bowls start.
And this has to be the shittiest football season ever. The one unbeaten in a top conference is ranked number 2? And all the confeneces are about equal. SEC vastly overrated. Everyone sucks, everyone sucks in the big 12, the big 10, the ACC. If they could put the top teams in a tourney 8 straight times, there would be 8 champions. I think the season is lacking that standout team, that team if they lose, it would be a MAJOR upset, like the USC's from a few years back.

yeah mizzou is gonna beat kansas. we all fuckin know this...my question is...why on earth do you think that, in new mexico for the big 12 championship, that oklahoma is somehow gonna pull out a win on a much better missouri team? can you not see them collapsing?
and yeah mr. notimportantenoughformetorememberyourforumname
that "moral victory" is the only game this entire season that was as close as 10 points. and maclin threw the ball. and maclin threw an interception...leading to a touchdown for oklahoma...and chase got mixed up with the rest of the teams on the signs the coaches threw that caused that ridiculous turnover/touchdown at our own 2 yardline....so even though we had a steady lead in the 3rd until we got cocky, we lost by 10....in oklahoma....at their homecoming.
i'm pretty sure since that game we've never let maclin throw the ball, just run like a speed demon, oh and we never had another problem with chase and the team getting incorrect signs...
but its cool man, kansas will win right? we know they're tried and tested against great teams like toledo and west michigan or some bullshit.
you kids are starting to get a bit delusional so i'll give you a quick reality check.
which freshman holds the freshman NCAA record for most all purpose yards in one season....? might wanna look it up i'll put the answer in white though for all those that can't google
its this little guy from kirkwood that i was talking about last page of this thread. jeremy maclin. yeah don't worry you don't need to know about him yet he's still in the process of SMASHING the record as we still have another game before our season is over. 209 all purpose yards a game....wooo boy you'll find out good and well how much this missouri team deserves the bcs title.
frankly i'd love to see WVU vs Mizzou but i have a sneaking suspicion that they're gonna keep noel devine out and i dont think slaton and white can put up the points to stay in front of mizzou after they beat kansas and oklahoma.

question: what on earth makes you think that mizzou is MORE THAN LIKELY going to lose??
answer: you're a buckeyes fan.
i'm sorry but for mizzou to go to arrowhead stadium (which had a 65-35 ratio of jayhawk fans to missouri fans, it was pretty much a home game for kansas) and dominate the undefeated number 2 team the entire game (with only the exception of our defense letting up a bit late in the 4th), especially with reesing still having a good game by most anyone's standards, and for chase daniel to go 40-49 passes (4 were thrown away to avoid sacks) for 380+ yards.....
we didn't even use maclin in that game.
and you honestly think we'll make the same mistakes that gave oklahoma the game last time? its a neutral field with all the momentum in the world in our favor...just watch this weekend and cry to me later man
face it, the buckeyes are not the best or even top 5 this year.

I WANT THEM to win and i want WV to lose, cause I'm a fan of Chase, even in high school, he's from Southlake, which is a few miles away. But for me, it is more likely that Mizzou would lose to OU then WV to a sorry ass Pitt Team. But i also think the Buckeyes would Kill Mizzou. I think Tressel would learn from the Florida game, and they have a better running attack this year, so they would control the clock better. I think it would be an Awesome game. But I also think OU is very very good when Healthy, and this Saturday they will have Bradford back, Stoopes is a vet at big games, doesn't always win, but his experience already gives his team a little edge, and you know it. I'm just hoping Pitt Wins, so I won't have to rout for OU, cause i hate the Sooners.

I'll admit that I haven't seen most of Arkansas's games but I have been impressed with McFadden too. Although I think it really hurt him when he kinda cooled off for a bit about a month ago.
Dennis Dixon should win it just because when he got Injured, his team stunk it up, twice.

question: what on earth makes you think that mizzou is MORE THAN LIKELY going to lose??
answer: you're a buckeyes fan.
i'm sorry but for mizzou to go to arrowhead stadium (which had a 65-35 ratio of jayhawk fans to missouri fans, it was pretty much a home game for kansas) and dominate the undefeated number 2 team the entire game (with only the exception of our defense letting up a bit late in the 4th), especially with reesing still having a good game by most anyone's standards, and for chase daniel to go 40-49 passes (4 were thrown away to avoid sacks) for 380+ yards.....
we didn't even use maclin in that game.
and you honestly think we'll make the same mistakes that gave oklahoma the game last time? its a neutral field with all the momentum in the world in our favor...just watch this weekend and cry to me later man
face it, the buckeyes are not the best or even top 5 this year.
i would LOVE to watch mizzou-osu. we would DOMINATE your team the way they can't handle the spread offense...daniel is the master of the spread.
maybe next year.....
Excuse me sir, would you like a napkin for that HUGE FREAKING FOOT IN YOUR MOUTH?!

Ohio State (11-1) entered the weekend at No. 3 and looks like it's in, essentially because it only lost once. Sure it only played 12 games (to most team's 13), took on a weak non-conference slate, beat no really good teams, lost three weeks ago at home to Illinois and didn't play anyone in two weeks, but in this season … hey, step on up you're a winner, please try to play better than last year.
Fuck them.

You guys remember the OU/USC championship game?
The one where OU (the DECIDED second best team in the nation) got anally raped because USC (the DECIDED BEST team in the nation) was simply better than them in every aspect of the game for those 60 minutes?
Same thing happened to Ohio State last year...but for some reason people forgot that Florida was an EXCELLENT team, and Ohio State, while gushing with talent, had the two "keys" to their offense removed in their first two offensive possessions...
Ohio State is a solid football team, the best? We'll see...simply put...get over it...

Meh, i still blame Tressel for that game. Did not have those kids ready to play, did nothing in the 60 days leading up to that game to get them hyped. No doubt in my Mind if they would have Played Florida right after the SEC championship game, OSU would have won. Bad coaching, and just really unprepared for Florida last year.
Now! Lasttime the Buckeyes were underdogs in the National Championship game, they beat Miami for one of the biggest Upsets in HISTORY, in probably in one of the top ten greatest College Football games in history.
So Lsu vs OSU should actually be a good game, cept for one thing, IT'S A FUCKING HOME GAME FOR LSU!
Now what has gotten me a little irrated is this USC shit, how everyone is saying that USC would beat everyone, Vegas would figure to have them overwhelming Favorites against LSU. That's fucking Bullshit. They might be on a winning streak, after being a overrated ASU team, and UCLA, cause UCLA is real good, but i don't even think they could beat Va Tech. Now they have to play Illionis in the Rose Bowl? Which is a wash, because Big Ten teams Always lose in the Rose Bowl. I think maybe in the last 15 years, they've won maybe 4 or 5 times. Yet, the big ten does well in the Capital One bowl game, so go figure.
I'm actually kinda disappointed in the BCS games, I'd rather see USC vs UGA, or OU vs USC. Hell, OSU vs OU, and LSU vs USC. The Hawaii game i have no interest in, WV should drop out of the Top 25. And Mizzou got Screwed!

I think he was referring to the fact that Mizzo's only 2 losses were to oklahoma and they raped kansas(regardless of the score) it wasn't even close and kansas had the luxury of not playing oklahoma and the bowl committee picked kansas over mizzo....even though mizzo is OBVIOUSLY the better team

As far as the non-BCS bowls go, besides my Cats taking on Bobby Bowden and the 'Noles, I also really like the matchups in the Sun Bowl (USF, Oregon), Peach Bowl (Clemson, Auburn) and the Outback Bowl (Wisconsin, Tennessee).
The only BCS match-up I'm not a fan of is Georgia-Hawaii, not because Georgia got there without winning their division, but because Hawaii got there without playing anybody.
Now, I give Hawaii credit for going 12-0, but when you play 12 teams named "City/Town" State, then you shouldn't be in the BCS.
Oh well.
As far as LSU and Ohio State go, I'm actually kind of liking this matchup.
I used to be one of those guys that thought having Ohio State in the title game would just rob football fans of a good game, but you know something, LSU and OSU both play to the level of their competition.
I still think LSU wins, but I think it'll be a good game to watch.
Go Cats, kill the 'Noles.

I'm not a college football fan at all but usually one or two bowl games will catch my eye and i'll watch, but i have to say besides the Georgia-Hawaii matchup, every other matchup looks like shit, even Mich-Florida.
Give me some juice to tune into watching basketball schools play in big football bowl games..anyone?

I just read on sportsline that they picked Kansas because they guarenteed more tickets sold and the orange bowl is notorious for having trouble filling the seats even for bowl games..... mizzo was 5,000 + tickets short of selling out their share of the big 12 game..... that says alot aabout their fans
they are a disgrace....they wouldn't bother going to the biggest game in school history

Cal has looked like shit since september. Air Force though, can run the option like mother fucker, same goes for navy. Nobody runs the option like them. They only do it becaues they have mostly sucky players though, but they run it to perfection. Just imagine if they could get a real top notch 5 star qb/athlete to run that. West Virgina should have just quit fucking around and run the damn option like air force navy, they could get so much more, if they just gave up all those stupid dump offs and 5 yard slants by pat white, because thats about all hes good for in the passing game.

Playing top ten teams four weeks in a row. Wow. The way Colt and the young defensive secondary have put it together this year is incredible. After this we got Baylor and then Kansas we should beat, but A&M has only one thing on their mind: beat Texas- and for that reason I'm more afraid of them than Tech.
