I'm leaving in like half an hour.

Need a new strategy PC game, I demoed Medieval War 2:Total War, but didn't really get into it... at all.

I have Civ4, Star Wars:Empire at War, and AoE2. I need a couple quick suggestions.

Normally I thoroughly demo a game before buying, but this was a no warning kind of thing.

Strategy, preferably RTS, help me guys.

Rome: Total War would be my suggestion because I love that game. I don't have MTW:2 so I don't know how similar they are, though (time period doesn't interest me). Homeworld games are good too.

If you aren't into Total War game mechanics I wouldn't suggest any total war.

Dawn of war
BlitzKrieg 2
Sudden Strike 2
Call of Heroes
Starcraft
ORB
Homeworld 2
Stronghold: Crusader

You should try a good modern or futuristic strategy,

command and conquer 3 (never played any games passed Generals, but hear it's good.)

Dawn of War and expansions (my favorite RTS ever, very unique compared to most others, and you can buy the whole game, and expansions together in one box.)

Europa Universalis III

It's got a sort of steep learning curve, but it's one of the most in-depth games I've played. There's lots of diplomacy involved in it and managing the economy is a big challenge. Also it's got over 100+ nations to choose from.
