Im thinking about buying a ford focus, and maybe putting like a v8 in it with new air filter, some forced induuction, oilk cool, new suspension, whale tail , fuel injectores, nitto tires, and perhaps some new pistons and headwork. All in all it would cost around 15,000$ it would have around 600hp and 512 ft torque.,.. and dont forget about the ricer ness ... new rims, speakers, lambo doors, and cd player, paint job ...YEA!\

Why, just why would you say that? You use the word "ricer" as if you actually like it.

hah yeah man and make sure you get a crank to go with it. If you have tons of money to spend you should get a cylinder wall and piston rings.

Well the Ford 302 fits in the Focus without any modding at all... or so I hear. However you can't say how much horsepower and torque you're gonna have beforehand. This project will cost alot more than $15,000... considering a Focus costs more than that right out of the gate.
Before you try something like this, I'd recommend learning a thing or two about cars.

I'd probably have to suggest the same to you. The 302 will NOT fit in a focus without mods. It would take a hell of a lot to make this work. A 302 is longer than it is wide and all FWD cars have transversely mounted drivetrains, obvious right? That means you need to mount the engine sideways like the engine its replacing. Then you need to get your hands on a FWD transmission. Somewhere in here you'll probably have to widen the front end of the car to fit all that. As you can see the smaller 4cyl engine thats in there pretty well fills the bay. Next we're talking about custom motor mounts, custom axle shafts, transplanting the entire electrical system, upgrading the front suspension to keep from dragging on the ground from the extra weight, hooking up the transmission to the shifter (hell I'm sure)...I mean holy crap its a lot of work. If you HAVE a focus $15,000 could possibly get it done but the quality of work may come in question. I was offered a Turbocharged Northstar engine in my Bonneville for about the same price. But thats a huge V-6 into a small V-8. You're talking a smallish 4cyl into a biggish 8cyl. I've seen the idea done before in a Civic with a 350. But the 350 was mounted in the hatchback.

Holy crap they converted it to RWD. They're also talking $25,000 to make it happen. I guess the joker will fit, I stand corrected. I wouldn't have though to make it RWD so I was assuming remaining FWD. I still guess FWD V8 wouldn't fit but at this point who knows! Hey I have a focus too, kinda exciting to think about. I'm going to read up on it :D

Hah I think that'd be neat!
The new issue of Motor Trend tests the Focus RS8 against the Lamborghini Gallardo, and the Focus actually keeps up with the Gallardo. But also worth noting is that the price of the Focus with all the mods totals up to an estimated $105,000.
