Check every square inch of the auction post; see if they did anything to legally clear themselves, like "the console was in perfect condition when in my possession. I am not responsible for any damages during shipping, or while in possession of the winning bidder. If you get red lights contact microsoft since I am not at fault."

I doubt that would yield any results. I've had problems with Ebay before and it's hard to get anything done through them. Your best bet would to do as above suggested. Call Microsoft and tell them your 360 is giving you hardware failure lights. As long as you have the box and the serial number that should be enough to get a replacement unit through them.

My X-box stopped playing games a few weeks ago so I requested the return box to send it in and get it fixed. Well, I got the box yesterday, and when I went to check to see if there was a disc in the drive, I got the red ring of death!

Microsoft has scammed the world with the 360 and Vista. They need to get their shit together or they are going to have a hard time selling any more products after this.
