Anyone interested in WARHAWK???

I hadn't been following this title until IGN named it best PS3 multiplayer game at E3. Being what we'll call 'semi-hardcore' about online gaming, I checked it out and now the PS3 is the #1 system I want!!! It is like a mix of Battlefield, Halo, and Crimson Skies, all with a pure focus on FUN. The only thing I'm afraid of is that people will get the cheap PSN download rather than the retail version with the headset. A game like this needs voice communication to be successful imo.

Here is the latest Japanese trailer. While the video is somewhat cheesy (it is the Japanese trailer after all), I think it shows the team and diverse gameplay mechanics the best:

Hopefully more people think like you. Only Playstation game I brought online was Battlefield 2: Modern Combat and was saddened to see so few people with headsets - the Xbox version was sooooo much better because you could chat with virtually every teammate.

It would be a shame to see a game this unique suffer a similar fate... :(

Warhawk was one of the origional games I started following when I was gonna get my Ps3, along with stranglehold. These 2 being put off was a reason I didn't get a ps3, that and the fact that I didn't have a job but whatever >.>

I was on the Warhawk beta and I can tell you the game is really fun. The only real problems I felt were that the ground combat was a bit awkward and takes some time getting use to. Secondly, there was only four huge maps, so I'm hoping there will be more in the final version. Lastly, was that sometimes the game would freeze but I'm assuming that since this was the beta they should fix any problems or glitches. Other than that the game can be very fast paced and frantic or can be enjoyed in a more steady paced with more emphasis on strategy. The game also seems to have replay ability since there are numerous badges, ribbon, medals,and etc. to obtain. Also when you rank up you unlock new gear to customize your character and new paint jobs for you plane.

In my opinion the gameplay falls some where in between the two with more of a lean toward frag-fest. I feel the game is very balanced in terms of weapons and vehicles (with the exception of the turrents). I guess you could say you can determine if a match will be a frag fest or somewhat realistic depending on the size of map and the number players.

This game looks really good, whens it supposed to come out in the US? Maybe I will start saving for a PS3 but the only thing that didn't look great about the game is the foot combat.
