...what the fuck am I supposed to do? I understand that there are quests and all sorts of sidequests to do, but there is no real point to anything, right? At the moment, I go from house to house, kill people that have no guards around them, pick up stuff sell it. I've got about 800 money and I have no idea what to buy.

Too much free-roaming for me :uhoh:

Hmm.. i forget alot of Morrowind and i completed it more than once, game just uses many hours, i cant even remember the main story line for Morrowind, the expansions were great for it too. Maybe you should read your journal and/or go join a guild or something and get some quests lol

Ok the first quest is you got to head over to falador head into the local merchant shop and buy a copy of oblivion. Even though morrowind is a great game oblivion tops it. If you are having trouble figuring out what to do in morrowind but like the whole conceipt of the game then just go pick up oblivion. Its just as big, or bigger then morrowind, but its a whole easier to figure out what to do and where to go.

Well, thanks for the replies. I love this game, but it gets repetitive at times

Anyway, I don't want oblivion, I don't have a computer for that.

And what's the perfect race/class/skills/starsign combination?

I've played about 10 hours with a Nord/class:rogue/starsign:warrior

But I started to use the bow and to pickpocket people. So, I thought to start over and to create a fighter/thief hybrid

I find if you want a thief/fighter hybrid, if you make it too much of a thief youll get tottally slaughtered lol, i guess lockpicking is the only essential, you can just smash the shit out of everyone.

i play as a redgaurd warrior, but thats just my style. i play all rpg's as a warrior.

start the main quest to get some perspective on the game, it wont seem to repetitive then. if you do complete it buy bloodmoon.

After you beat Morrowind you'll want to purchase the Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansions. Also, after playing for a while you can spice up the game a bit with mods if you want. You can get a lot of them here:

Thanks for the bump lol.

Basically just go with your usually RPG playing style.

As for me, I'm still playing this from time to time. I finished about 3/4 of the fighter's guild quests but haven't done any other quest. Axe is almost at lvl 100.

The thing about Morrowind is that it's starts out really slow! But after some hours, by the time you get about 3 skills over lvl 60, it should start to get fun.

If your gonig to make any sort of magic based character. Be a Breton with the Atronach birthsign. Resist magic + absorb magic= win.

I've tried to get back in Morrowind, but all attempts have failed, not because it's gotten old, I've havent been through half the factions, I just FUCKING HATE SEYDA NEEN

Join one of the three major houses. It's been years since I've played morrowind, but if I remember correctly they're Redoran, Hlaluu, and Telvaani. You can only join one, and each of the houses have skill requirements that correspond to certain skills, so make sure you join the one that you apply to skill-wise. Do quests for them, and besides just a rank given or gold or whatnot, you can actually eventually build your own stronghold with guards and everything.

One thing to note is you might have already killed an NPC or something that is required for a quest through the houses. For example I killed a dude during a thieves guild quest that I NEEDED alive for a hlaluu quest, and I was stuck halfway through the questline and got fucked over for my stronghold.

I suggest doing the house quests ASAP if you want a schweet stronghold with the least chance in fucking yourself over in the questline.

In some ways it does, in some ways it doesn't. Lots of people love Morrowind but hate Oblivion, many the other way around. Biggest improvements are the combat system and roaming NPCs, other than that Morrowind generally has more to do. It's also easier to find out where to go for quests, but that's not necessarily a good thing... I like exploring and finding things on my own.

First off I would highly recommend that you pick up or download the strategy guide for the game to get the most out of it otherwise it will probably be a lackluster experience. In addition you should probably avoid killing people because unlike Oblivion you can kill quest givers including those for the main quest.

Your journal should have an entry to go to Balmora in order to begin the main quest line however, that is completely up to you. Many people start off by joining a guild to get a feel for the content and the terrain.

I used to play Morrowind for hours on end. I could spend two hours in Seyda Neen looting every chest, barrel, and house before making my way to Balmora to deliver the package. Eventually I realized how boring playing the game this way is.

Oblivion is a steaming piece of cow shit compared to Morrowind.

Even though I love Oblivion.

In comparison.

Cow Shit.

With lots of steam.
