He did make some sick passes... but you've got to admit the skill is there. Being 9 and on the man u academy is probably not good for his ego...

I feel sorry for the other kids in his team.

He may be good now, but will he be good in the future?

The world of professional football is a harsh mistress and hundreds of kids get rejected from acadamies all over the world every year.

Unfortunately for me, a youtube video is hardly the best evidence to base any player's talent on. Little edit here, little deletion here and even I could be a football genius!

Hope the kid makes it, many wont.

All about work ethic, if he can build it, maintain it and stick with it, he will be fine cause the skill won't just wear off, it will always be there.

thats pretty stupid that a 9 year old can make a proffesional team, i could expect this shit from golf but not from soccer

True to an extent, the step overs and six-pence turns are all well and good in a junior kick-about but this kid is going to have incorporate a lot more things into his game if he is to succeed.

Trapping the ball, spotting a pass, completing a pass, precision, shooting, heading, dribbling, first touch, tackling, finding space, awareness, team play are essential for this kid to progress and from what I saw of that video, he's going to have to work on that team play aspect! :D

Save the fancy dan stuff for when you're 6-0 up I say!

Man U Academy. I hope you didn't think a 9 year old was going to play on the most popular sports club in the world.

No litttle kid can play for a team that moves the ball this fast and this well.

Yeah, but it's impossible to play with anyone else when you're 10 times better than them cause your thinking pattern is so far ahead of everyone else's, and i probably wouldn't pass the ball either;)

Will be interesting to see how he developes as a player, yeah he seems to have buckets of skill but for all we know those clips could have been against a team of window lickers that traveled to the game on a short bus.

Theres always some amazing kid who everyone thinks is gonna be the next Maradona or George Best but then you never hear of them again...
Does anyone remember that English kid who used to always be on childrens TV showing off his ball skills in the late 1980s? He looked awesome and was wanted by all the big clubs, I think he ended up going to Ajax and that was the end of that.
His name was Sonny or something like that but he has changed his name now (aparently) because he was embarrassed that people remember him and all the hype that followed him.

That has to be rough when you fail to meet not only your own expectations, but the expectations of millions.

Yeah he was on a tv show recently, he quit because his dad pushed him too far, and now he can't stand football, shame really. What happened to him he played for two clubs while he was under contract and he was banned from playing for any professional clubs for
4 years or something, from what i can remember from that show

That kid is a decent player, but he might have only developed quicker for his age, so when the rest catch up what's he going to be like then? It's not fair him having this much pressure on him at his age. Still pretty cool way to spell his name.

Yeah the way he spells his name I thought he was Welsh.

He is an English kid isnt he??? I heard he was born and lived in England then moved to Oz when he was 5.

a maradona here, a scissor there...all it takes to school other 9 year olds. all it takes is slight bit of skill to take on oher 9 year old defenders. shit like that doesnt work later on in life unless youre ronaldinho

a maradona.... and a scissor are both moves that kid often does from what ive seen in the video. its all it takes to school another 9 year old. thats why he looks so amazing. that stuff doesnt work so well with older players

You are missing the point, what normal nine year olds do a "Maradona" and "Scissor" kick, it doesn't matter that it wouldn't work agaisnt older players as often, he is only nine. Don't focus on the players around him focus on him, just look at his skill and remember his age and you will see he is a talent.

no i understand that most kids dont run around doing those... thats good, if he gets spoiled in the spotlight hell expect that stuff to work his entire life. he obviously spent a lot of time practicing his "moves" most of the stuff ive seen him do is a lot more show boaty. i do have to compliment him on the fact that when he gets taken down he gets back up and gets the ball back

rofl expect that to change as he grows and 'immatures' through the manchester academy!by that i mean hes gunna start diving DURRRR

i saw this on cnn.

its good that the kid is getting some good academy work, because he has a long way to go before he is good enough to play the actual game. repetitive tricks against little 9 year old kids is hardly the point of the game.

once he learns how to be an unselfish player, he'll do well.
