Yeah man, because real punks (And metal n3kr0 gr1ml0rds, for that matter.) are so underground, that if they even mention what they like they compromise their status.

There are probably 50 million "real" punk threads scattered throughout the internet and they all say the same thing. It's so redundant now that people don't even have to post who they think "real" punk is anymore, they can just hyperlink a post from a different forum with the same list of "real" punks.

sry to burt your bubble but Good Charolette are not punk. SmarterChild says "A form of hard-driving rock 'n' roll originating in the 1970s, characterized by harsh lyrics attacking conventional society and popular culture, and often expressing alienation and anger." and it couldn't be said better.. That is definantly not Good Charolette

i don't really know what it means to be "real punk" but form reading all these threads it sounds to me that if u want to be a real punk all u have to do is call other people that say there real punks posers and boom your punk.

"real" punks tend to smell funny and have no clue as to what the internet even is.
i think i'll just stick with being myself and liking music in general.

hmmm thats a good point...a real punk wouldnt run around telling people hes punk right?..coz punks dont give a shit what other people think....you can wear punk clothes wif studs and shit on ur arse but u need to actually be a punk to feel the punk power, if your a fake poser wearing punk gear, the poser would be worried how the world percieves him and holds back the punk power, u need to be comfortable wearing punk gear inorder to be a punk.
hmm Yeh thats proberly what the title means. Btw i am not a punk.

This is a disclaimer, not a "what is 'real' punk" thread.
