Yeah, I just bought halo 2 a couple of days ago and it isnt that fun, but I guess since it's old and gameplay is old i'll it the benefit of the doubt, till halo 3.

I played Halo 2 on my friends 360 a few weeks ago, we went through like half the campagin, the bits where you are the cheif dude are awsome, when your going round the city. Did drag a bit when you where the gimp alien things though fighting the wierd bug/virus/insect things.

However in all honesty, fuck the graphics in Halo 3, if they say they are ground breaking one more time I'll fucking nut them. However as for the coop campaign, I'm actually looking forward to my mate getting it and going through it together.

I just hope they open the levels out a bit more and have lots of branching paths go explore. I'm through with Bungie's PR campagain and multiple documentories, they just need to stick with the basics and they will have a proper decent fun title.

This guy has it nailed right, if I remember correctly Bungie was acquired by Microsoft and was forced to move the game away from a initial PC release to the an Xbox launch title. And Xbox's first FPS.

I really can't find anything wrong with the game. The only department that didn't improve on Halo's already amazing features was the semi weak story line. And I dunno about you, but I never buy into story lines involving robots and aliens and shit. I think it's a joke trying to make that a considerable factor. Who really cares? You get to blow shit up, it's fun, we don't really need a complex story line. But having one wouldn't neccesarily be a bad thing at all.

I thought that the single player was really fun. A little short? Perhaps, but thats ok because it's compact intensity made up for it. And as for the storyline, well, I already talked about that, IMHO only nerds really care enough to make it a factor. BTW, the online play of Halo2 WAS ground breaking. The computer server model for MP sucks ass, too prone to lag, cheating, and spending 20 minutes finding a good combo.

I did not enjoy Halo and therefore I'm sure I would not enjoy Halo 2 from what I've heard. The campaign took a fairly fun level design and then STRETCHED IT THE FUCK OUT. The levels go on forever with cloned rooms that keep going. Think about it; nearly every level, if not every single one, is like that. I tried the multiplayer on PC and hated it. When I could connect to a server, it just became a game of "grab the Banshee." If there were no vehicles, then it was just a generic shooter that wasn't fun at all. The most fun I had was starting a private server, flipping over a Warthog, and jumping a Ghost off of it. Great fun for a while but it's just proof that you have to make your own fun with it. I couldn't imagine how dreadful it is with 13-year-old fanboys yelling slurs into the mic while being lag-killed by a cheater.

Halo is vastly overrated. This is a decent game at best. It has a clean interface, good controls (for a console shooter; I also played it on my friend's Xbox), and good graphics for the time. Driving the Warthog was fun but couldn't save the game.

Halo 2 = FUCKING SWEET. Why do people say that it sucks I have no idea. Jealous maybe? The fact is, while the single player campaign may have been a little short, it EXCELLED in online. If XBOX Live could talk it would say "thank you, halo 2." Halo 2 is fucking fun. No other way to say it.

I can see how you'd think of me as fan boy after I said "You like it or you don't so stfu", it's just that I've given up on bashing other peoples tastes. It not the best game [from a technical standpoint], but people love it, and in that way it is the best. I was an avid opponent of Halo 2, and that was after playing more online games of it than almost any other person on the planet. But I don't really care anymore. It's not a bad game, and I can't even remember half the complaints I had about it. Sure some people are delusional and think it is the best game in every way, but a lot of the fans just plain like it. Whatever floats your boat.
