i played the demo at Gamestop and i really didn't like this game. the interface was weird and the gameplay was just strange and out of the ordinary in general. and not in a good way

Honestly, the only reason this game got as much hype as it did was because it was coming out for the game starved PS3. If this game were to come out for the PS2 during its prime, it would have had much less hype and most likely have been forgotten about quickly.

It must really be hard to be a 360 fanboy when you expose yourself like that. I'm not for the Ps3 anymore, but it seems like you were praying that this game would get a bad review.

Play Magazine gave it a full 10 out of 10, for its graphics, cutscenes, and the gore. They also stated that it was, perhaps, the most cinematic game ever created.

Polish magazine PSXExtreme gave it 9+ out of 10.

How does IGN rate their games? Because if the total score was added up and divided by 5 (due to 5 ratings), then it's average would be 78%. And I think the review is a little harsh with its "the unlockables are great, but you can get all of them online." It repeated that damn line like 5 times and not everyone is going to know you can get them online. Really, that knocked it's score down 4-10%, which is ultimately really sad.

I'm holding out hope for the game...I can see 10% coming off immediately due to the 'every area seems just like the last' where you're stuck in a room and can't get out until you kill all the enemies, but everything else appears flawless.

I guess we'll see when it's released...

Metal gear is what keeps me on PS3 (havnt bought it yet). As long as Resident evil 5, GTAIV and God of war is also on that console im fine and Ninja Gaiden Sigma will probably be the first game I purchase when I eventually get the console.

Little Big planet looks fun too. A bit cute/childish, but it looks fun with the ability to mess with the physics and make levels for others to play.

These reviews seem pretty harmless to me. If the demo is anything like the finished game, I'll be happy. The combo system is intricate enough to keep anyone experimenting and going "Ooo" and "Ahhh" for hours on end, and the story looks pretty cool. Lastly, I definitely have to see the rest of the cinematics, definitely the most realistic facial animation in any video game to date.

Just a little wierd to me that Gamepro gave Madden 07 and Virtua Fighter 5 the same score as Heavenly Sword....and most of the list Macro put up is from sites that are just for playstation..of course they will get a good score. The best critique you can get out of a game is your own, right? Normally I'd rent this first, but the demo got me so pumped I'm gunna shell out the cash for a copy of my own.
