Are there games like guitar hero for PC, but specifically ones that you can download custom songs for?

Be sure to get the Guitar Hero add-ons and the big song packs on BitTorrent (the latter is on the Pirate Bay). This will give you hundreds of songs to play. The only problem with this game is that most keyboards won't recognize more than 2 of the F# keys, so many songs will get really bad ratings with a bad keyboard. I even found a FoF version of the whole Dark Side of the Moon album. I tried to play it (it crashed four times before I could play it) but it has a lot of three-key chords in it, so I quit in the first couple minutes.

Frets on Fire kicks ass. I got decent at GH by playing that, and all my friends were like "You don't even have an Xbox, how are you even good?". You can even hook up an Xbox controller to it with a USB attachment.

Guitar Zero is pretty much an almost straight rip off, looks cool however the download is almost nonexistent now. There is also Freetar Hero, which comes with a song maker, but it sucks.

Frets on Fire lets you rip your Guitar Hero 1 or 2 songs directly to your computer, but it takes like 5 hours.

That's why you test what keys work in the key testing.

I use D F G H and Space as my keys and it works fine.
