So I plan on buying a 360 within the next couple of weeks. I have a few questions about it though.
1. I've been a PS fanboy all my life and I'm really concerned that MGS4 and GTA4 will be PS3 exclusives. Are they?
2. I don't want to spend all my money but I also don't want to get ripped-off. What package should I purchase?
3.What games should I get?
4. What kind of TV should I play it on to get the best graphics possible?

1. GTA's have always been released on at LEAST the PC. With the popularity of the XBox, it's likely that it will be there too. Rockstar has released the other GTAs for XBox in the past, as well as Table Tennis. Metal Gear Solid may be an uphill battle.
2. Platinum or Elite are really the only choices. You need a harddrive. Period.
3. Start with dead rising, and when you kill enough zombies, kill more weird monsters in Gears of War. After that, there's plenty of good choices.
EDIT: Settlers of Catan is a MUST. XBox LIVE arcade. If enough people get this, I may just release my brand new gamertag on these forums someday.

1. I don't know about MGS4, but R* stated personally that GTA4 will be released on the PS3 and XBOX360 on the same day when it's released. Plus, the 360 version has the option of downloading new content from xbox live.
2. One of the ones with a HD. Either platinum or elite.
3. PsiRedEye got it right on the money. Dead Rising and Gears of War are a must for xbox owners. You will be occupied with them for a while. By that time, you will have a few more gaming options. The ones that look good to me are: Bioshock, Halo 3, CoD4, GTA4.
4. I don't know much about tvs, but if you don't mind spending a little extra money, go for an HD TV. Dead Rising actually requires an HD-TV or the text is really little and a strain to read.

Yeah, I have 2 HD TVs in my house but not in my room so that's one of the things I wanted to know. My dad's not to big about having a system laying around downstairs.
I'm glad GTA4 is for Xbox now. Now we have to wait for MGS4...

MGS4 isn't going to 360 end of story.
GTA4 was always going to 360.
Any TV larger than 17", go any smaller and you won't be able to read some text in games.
Get Premium version.

Get premium. Elite is a little excessive.

metal gear is boring anyway, gta4 is 360 exclusive, having 2 extra episodes being released for it after and more content to download, get a more expensive package because its better value and has things you'll only buy later anyway, best to play on a HDTV. I hate parents who moan about 'having a console lying around', why the hell does it matter.

BAHHH I'm going crazy waiting for my xbox 360. I'm buying it off some guy that lives 3 hours away ,so my cousin has to go get it for me since he lives up there.
I had to wait 4 days for him to pick it up (still hasn't yet) than I have to wait till this friday to actually get it.
Then I bought dead rising off some other guy so that'll keep me busy when I actually get my 360.

Dead Rising is the balls when you first boot it up. I thoroughly enjoyed that, Gears, and Overlord. Shadowrun is better on the PC though, but still great.

I mostly enjoyed the freedom of destroying as many zombies as I wanted to. The storyline is good no doubt, but this was the first game that really let you just go psycho on a bunch of those shuffling, brain eating, assholes.

Hasn't GTA V been delayed until like April 2008? I was going to buy a PS3 once GTA V came out, but now I don't know what to do!

Its XBOX or Xbox not X-Box. Why can't people understand that?
