What is more worth making, a druid in cat form or dire bear form?

Having almost no experience with druids, I'll say this: Bears are fucking awesome.

(Real bears. Not World of Warcraft bears that just stand around with lockjaw.)

Having almost no experience in WoW, I know that you can switch from form to form freely.

yeah i think feral spec is both cat and bear, you just have some tanking gear for the bear, and DPS gear for the kitty

I say go Cat form - But Dire bear form is quite usefull too , Most talents affect both Dire Bear / Cat form

Cat form is for damage and Bear Form is for tanking, so it depends on what you're doing, plain and simple. Thankfully they both fall under the same talent tree anyways :P

Just carry two sets of gear and you can easily do whatever is needed from your party.

Until level 60. Outland instances typically require you be specced for healing or tanking to do so successfully.

Druids aren't too bad. Due to the Arena for lvl 70s, Warriors have been speccing Arms and causing a HUGE tank shortage. Feral specced druids are very much appreciated because they can tank and DPS without having to respec. I wouldn't be caught dead having an Arms warrior tank for me. And pallies.....they just can't tank. If you would like to continue with your druid and would like to PvP in the arena, I suggest you find yourself a nice Soul Linked Warlock with 1k spell damage and spec resto. At the moment that is the most potent combination in the arena.

If you want to rape n00bs and peers alike, I would suggest you just roll Warlock. They do awesome spell damage no matter what spec they are. But get ready to feel the hate from the PvP community. Everyday they cry "nerf". Fortunately Blizzard says they are fine the way they are :D

And no, please do not roll Shaman. Superior says they suck at all, but their totems and healing spec are viable for PvP and PvE. Top ranked raiding guilds use them all the time. Unfortunately, they are the redheaded bastard child of Blizzard. They've been nerfed pretty much every patch since Beta. It just isn't an official patch until Shamans get nerfer :p

Hope this help!

The tank shortage thing is true, especially in the server i play on, Zenedar. First my beloved retribution paladin had to switch to the girly role of healing due to there being no healers in my guild, now tankage has been forced upon me and i suck hard at it.

As for the original question, i agree with this guy i quoted. Warlocks are (and have always been) extremely overpowered. They're great for questing, even greater for PVP and even greater still for instances/dungeons... Warlocks will wipe the floor with other DPS in your group every single time.

However, Warlock is the cheapass option for people who want to kill without any kind of skill, same as rogues. I would suggest a Hunter, if you haven't already started or are still only a nubcake. Hunters have always been well balanced. Excellent at solo questing (can kill things 5 levels above easily), great at PVP and manage a decent DPS in instances/dungeons too.

Have you ever even rolled a lock? What most people don't realize, is that we locks do have a huge weakness, we almost have absolutely no defense. Especially affliction locks. Fear is the only defense we really have, and all you really need to do is to get a trinket that stops fear, and there you go. For some reason, everyone believes that locks have a 41/41/41 build.

I wouldn't build a Druid at all. Warlocks are the way to go. Here's all the tips you'll need to make a kiss ass warlock! http://www.gosunoobcafe.com/Warlocktips.shtml

Oh my, another asshole who calls warlocks OP. I have a 70 afflic lock and a 70 combat sword rogue. My lock is wearing epics but I play my rogue because it's just more fun to me. I get stomped in PvP on both of them, though, because I have no PvP gear yet.

By the way, fuck MS warriors. I was in an AB last night fighting a premade with 6 of those fuckers.

Oh, and go resto, lawls.

I usually wipe the floor with warlocks using my hunter. I don't even always need to include my pet's damage.

EDIT: Oh yeah, never roll hunter. I have yet to find a realm where they weren't the most populous class. They're terrible for arena, have a horrible reputation due to the amount of idiots playing them, and DPS classes are a dime a dozen for pugs anyways.

Paladin tanking is superior to druid tanking in alot of ways. Even with max armor for damage reduction (75% DR), they still take more damage than paladin tanks. 2 words : Crushing blows. Paladins can fully negate them, druids just have to sit there and deal with it. It isn't to much of an issue really...max armor druids take crushing blows but only take 25% of the damage, paladin's negate crushing blows and have about 20% less damage reduction from armor than druids...so it almost evens out. HOWEVER, paladin tanking is still more beneficial to your healer's if you have the option...warrior tanking is still best due to shield wall / last stand and aggro gen. issues on boss's (8% miss chance on bosses for warriors, paladin's have the 8% miss chance for both melee AND spells, little less aggro in the long run and when you have DPS'ers doing more than 1k threat per second)

Other than that...

This thread is pointless...if he has dire bear (lvl 40 skill, normal bear form is lvl 10), then he should know that you can switch between forms freely or he sucks to bad to realize the basics of his class and should re-roll a warrior until he decides to actually invest time learning this game.
