As for the Kingdom Heart series... the second one kinda killed it. The first one was like my favorite PS2 game ever, and the sequel was absolutely terrible.

I watched it before it was taken down. Pretty, although I played the first one and only enjoyed it so much. they did certain parts right, and other parts horribly wrong. The sickeningly gay under the sea level. The copious amounts of psychobabel bullshit about love, friendship and kingdom hearts. Although they did get gameplay down well, it was hard to tolerate the game at times. I think I'll borrow the second one from my weeaboo co worker. Can't harm me to play it.

But for people who like the series, this looks like something you'd all welcome with open arms. As for which console this appears on, time will tell. I think it will appear on the Wii, mainly because it features Disney characters and that will appeal to the supposed casual gamer audience who buys games based off box art. Also I feel Squeenix is going to abandon the Sony ship and switch back to Nintendo soon. They are a business concerned with profits first after all. Although does the Wii have the Graf-x capabilities they want? Square can make a game pretty on any system so any game they make will look great no matter where it lands, it's just their xbox huge cutscenes that require a shit ton of space. If the need be they can go oldschool and make multiple dvds for a game. Wait, what was the topic again? Yeah, this game looks like something fans of the series will enjoy.

i agree. i really didn't like the second one as much, but i still played it through because i love the story line...but the whole disney thing is still kinda gay

My thoughts exactly (on the thread, and everything else). I also enjoyed seeing the characters grow up and really the only point of KH2 I felt was painful to play through was the infamous musical portion >.>; I'll be damned if KH2 didn't get me pumped in the middle-last parts though, and because of it, I can never go back to KH1. (well, I could but only to play through with a friend or something).

i agree, there are those who don't like KH2, but i think it had just as much heart and it was so epic from the middle to the end. You just had this feeling that you're part of something huge and then you get all these plot twists and you actually feel for the characters. KH2 had really good character growth that is for sure, i really want to see what happens with Sora, Donald, Goofy and all the others. KH is THE only JRPG i like.

It's not Roxas, it's someone named Ven. Furthermore, he didn't die. If you download the HD version of this video from Gametrailers, you can see that even in his frozen state, as he's being held by the female soldier, his eyes move slightly as if looking into hers. It's very subtle. None of these characters are from KH1 or 2 as far as we know except for Mickey. Here's a list of the names of the characters shown in that video:

Enigmatic Soldier (yellow eyes): Terra [earth] - you get to fight him in KH2: Final Mix +
Female Soldier: Aqua [water]
Roxas/Sora look-a-like: Ven [wind]
Bald Guy: Ansem the Great

No idea who the guy in the Ansem+Riku outfit is, however.

This is a side-story. Most likely a prequel to the series, though not confirmed as of yet.

I disagree totally about KH2. What I loved about KH 1 was the storyline; at how it sucked you in, moved you forward through a plot full of twists, and climaxes at the end with an awesome battle scene and great ending. The music was top notch, the voice acting/dialogue was some of the best I've seen in a video game, and Square implemented Disney perfectly. I was totally amped up about getting KH2 for MONTHS, and when it came out I couldn't believe it. Hell, I didn't even beat the game because it was so awful, I got about 10 hours in before finally trading it in to Gamestop. Why?

For one, the beginning was atrocious. The whole Twilight town thing was pretty much bad. I didn't like any of the new characters, I didn't like Roxas, and the Dialogue was absolutely terrible from the start. And it only became worse and worse. The more I progressed, the more I realized at how much the game does to take you out of the experience. Before each battle a thing will display "Kill all the enemies... etc. etc." as they STOP the entire game to tell you this... as if its all a mini-game. Each time they do that I said to myself, NO SHIT i'm supposed to wack the shit out of them. Why stop the entire game to tell you something that you already know, and ultimately drag you out of the experience? It was terrible.

And I remember the story was absolutely awful. Now mind you, I haven't played that game since like last year before I traded it in, so my memory is a little murky. I just remember all of Sora's stupid one liners, the not even pace of the plot, and the dumbed-down gameplay spoiled the game. Now when I put it in contrast to KH1, they do not even compare. KH2 is like they went and redid KH1 for little kids. As I said before, Kingdom Hearts 2 killed the series for me. RIP.

10 hours in, that's only about 1/8 of the game, you just missed out on the greatest aspects of the story, twilight town sucked, but Roxas plays quite a large role, you REALLY missed out. that sucks, the story was so epic and massive from middle to end and there are a shit ton of plot twists and huge fights.
