Madden 08 bullshit and/or funnies thread

There have been glitch threads whining about the glitches this game has an what not, but we haven't heard of ridicolous shit that isn't a glitch but might as well have been.

So my story is just funny, and would've been the sickest thing in a real NFL game. I am on the seahawks, starting wide receiver and playing against the rams. I was controlling the defense as the rams were ready to snap the ball. They were in shotgun, I was doing cover 3, obviously it was a pass play. So the ball is snapped, the quarterback takes his time waiting for a receiver to get open. So his left receiver decides to do a little juke out and than go deep. He goes deep, there's a huge gap between him and anyone on my defense except for the corner just watching him. The quarterback throws the ball perfectly towards his receiver, with unfortunately my corner being in the same spot as to were the receiver is supposed to be, my corner doesn't even flinch. The receiver runs, nears the ball, and fucking leaps in front of my corner totally fucking gangster. He brings up his arms to catch the ball, probably shitting himself for the 30 yard or so catch he's about to make, and my corner just sticks his right arm out to the side. The receiver MISSES the fucking ball and my corner intercepts him with a one handed catch. I mean, he literally stood there the whole time and just popped out his arm looking totally dope and pulled it in thinking "It aint nothin" . So I intercept, being totally sick my corner probably just got his biggest highlight interception of his career and starts sprinting.

It didn't go back for a touchdown, down to the 40 at least and was the most amazing yet bullshit thing I've seen in this game that wasn't a glitch.

That was the hardest thing to follow I think that i've ever read. The only stupid thing i've found in madden is that if you do a bomb (to lets say randy moss) he looks like he literally jumps 10 feet in the air to catch it sometimes and its just ridiculous. And when he comes down with the catch he gets smoked and flies 5-7 yards in the air and still holds on.

i have it madden obvisouly got dumber as it got older (i dont know why). i have it on 360. anyways, it has to grasp of time. for example if i have a lead and its the end of the game and the play is qb kneel, the offense will get lined up and the qb will snap the ball right when they get set up leaving about 30 seconds on the play clock as the game clock could have just been running down.(this is in superstar mode). also one time i was down by 5 points in superstar mode and we were like 35 yards from a touchdown which few seconds left on the clock and running. anyways the clock was just running down as the whole offense was waiting for the qb to snao the ball. he instead for some reason didnt feel like snapping it and the game ended

i hate how a WR (with a speed rating in the high 90s) cant seperate from a LB (with a speed rating in the high 70s-lows 80s). and the LB will be on my WRs hip all the way through his route and deflect the pass. its something thats been around in Madden for a longlong time. its bullshit

why cant i use my playbook i created in Franchise mode? bullshit

why do all the players look like crap this year? Marvin harrison and Chad Johnson are as big as DEs. bullshit

why did they make the game play so "Blitz" like? the problem with madden is that its always been way too arcade like, and this is the worst year ever. bullshit

I don't know what wide receiver's you're using but LBs are never on my ass. In superstar I have a speed receiver, 91 overall with 94 speed and I get open when against even the fastest of players.
