P.S. I just decided to take a peek on OiNk to see which is currently more popular.. 50 Cent's album has been downloaded like 1,000 times, while Kanye's has been downloaded like 10,000 times. I don't know if 50 Cent's was leaked later than Kanye's or what, but it looks like he is leading in popularity at the moment. And I don't normally listen to this kind of stuff, but I might check them out to see which I like better.

Well, as one of those OiNk heads, let me tell you that their taste in music is much more open than yours, based on some of your posts. And by the way, you can't compare things like experimental albums to Kanye or 50 Cent. They are completely different.

the entire album is trash, i just skimmed through it, the same generic beats over with the same generic flow.. The guest spots were alright i guess. did not like the Eminem beat or song at all, and usually thats the bright spot on 50's albums.


It's the same shit every time with 50. He has the same generic flow, or monotone voice through all his songs. it's annoying and repetitive. Te bright spot on the album was the Akon song, but thats cause i usually like most the shit Akon is on. My biggest problem with this is the lyrics are pretty repetive too. Im a gangsta, I'm so good, no one can fuck with me, my crew, my guns, and my niggas.

When Dre puts out Detox, i hope his beats don't sing like fire. Cause that beat was so club i almost popped and E and started to roll...

I get money is a good beat. But it's used so much on the mix tape scene i don't even recognize the lyrics 50 puts on it, because the same beat has been done with much better lyrics already. (IE Chammilionair's mixtape messiah 3 - money already made. And i think UGK did it on their album too.)

Nah they're egotistical image conscious masochists who'll sit through diabolical crap/as many 'exotic genres' as possible just to create an impression of being open-minded but spawn anything poppy/uncredible to avoid tarnishing their precious 'counter culture' reputations. And what's the better art - meticulously crafted and arranged pop albums or careless noise...

I listened to the cd yesterday (only once through). It is alright, but..its the same 50 shit..I will be sick of it halfway through the second listen. And, if 50 starts making his own beats, then start giving him credit for them, of course he is going to have good beats when he shells out thousands of dollars for them. i actually don't have a boring monotonous taste in music. I do however have a distaste for music that i really don't like.. which to me seems relatively logical. I mean you stated your opinion on something. So i stated mine on the same topic. I did listen to the album. I was unimpressed at best. I've heard better things for people who are paid and hyped a lot less. Just for the record I haven't really been a fan of Kanye since his first album. It seems like he's trying too hard to do a different kind of music than everyone else. Once again just my opinion.

as for the beats... Some of them were good. some of them were great. Do i want to hear them rapped on, sure, do i wanna hear 50 rap in his monotone simple flow... not really. I wouldn't really have a problem with monotone if he was saying something. Maybe a message, maybe telling a story. He doesn't stand out to me in lyrics. HIs first album was good, because it was all stuff we hadn't heard before. He got shot, he rose up in the underground, he hates ja rule.. so on and such. But second album, while the beef with ja was dying down, and i think the beef with game was starting up. He was saying the same shit he said last time. Not really doing anything asside from hyping Yayo, banks, and his crew. (yayos album flopped(FUCKIN HUGE FLOP), banks is still doing money in the banks mixtapes i think, an Buck is the only one that put out a good album of the ones with real albums out this year)


Anyways my last comment. It's all rap music, it's no higher of an art than any other form of music. If i don't like it, and someone hypes it up as a great album, and i don't see eye to eye with that, then im gonna say my opinion.
