Done a quick search and didnt find any threads on this game :confused:
Anyhoo here's a little info on the game:

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (ET:QW) is a first-person shooter video game, and is the follow-up to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. However, it is set in the same science fiction universe as Quake II and Quake 4, with a back-story serving as a prequel to Quake II. It is the second multiplayer-focused game in the Quake series (after Quake III Arena). Quake Wars will feature similar gameplay to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, but with the addition of controllable vehicles and aircraft,[4] asymmetric teams, much larger maps and the option of computer-controlled bots. Unlike the previous Enemy Territory game, Quake Wars will be a commercial release rather than a free download.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is being developed by Splash Damage for Windows using a modified version of id Software's Doom 3 engine and MegaTexture rendering technology.

The full game will be out on Friday 28th Sept for people in Europe and a week later for the USA.

Demo lacks graphics settings so it looked good on my old pc and looks fucking terrible on my new one.

That aside, don't like the alien/robot/mutatedhuman races weapons, seems like Battlefield only less frustrating and more depth.

Not bothering to buy.

I cant see why it would look terrible on a new PC, I have a 8800gts and a intel DUO 6400 and it looks great.

I played it. It was okay but I wouldn't buy it. I like it way more than BF but I never liked the game too much. You think the graphics suck now... the BETA was 10x worse. I'm pretty sure it can look way better when you're allowed to tweak settings.

I thought it was a very average game, didn't feel like the weapons had any actual weight to them, just one of the many things that let it down.

Demo ran 50fps+ on my 8800gts on ultra settings 1280x1024.
It is still very unoptimized, but they aimed to fix that in the demo with the 30fps performance cap. Check out www.tweakguides.com to unlock your fps cap in the demo with the CVARS in the quake console. Personally, it felt like battlefield quake, which is a good thing, flying isn't so great though, the vehicles feel like uber sensitive helicopters.

Jealous? Your computer isnt much better than mine. It just seems like everytime theres a thread about a computer game you bring up your specs.

I want to get this on the Xbox 360. If you ever played RTCW on the Xbox, it was insanely fun the voice chat really helped in enhancing the gameplay and teamplay. When I played RTCW:ET on the PC, it sucked cause there was a lack of communication.

Unfortunately, since the PC version lacks built in voice (meaning few people will use it), it will make the Xbox 360 much better.
