Need some help on which console to get: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii?

So im in the market for getting a nextgen console and I really wanted to hear alot of peoples opinions on which one to get, so Im asking you fine people to voice yours!

I'd like to know what the pros and cons are of each system, and of course dont be afraid to interject your own personal experiences!

If you can buy both a 360 and a Wii ....
Wii - Super Smash Bros Brawl and other great first party games.
360 - Halo 3 and other great online multiplayer games.

I have a 360. I have had plenty of fun with the games, the only thing I don't about it is the fact that it breaks. My 360 is broken right now, for the third time. Other than that though, I've gotten plenty of play time with it, and the marketplace is awesome too.

Wow, look at the immaturity. I'm flattered you think of me so much, but you can stop beating it to my online handle any time now.

Xbox 360 = Fucking shitloads of games now that are all great (Ala Bioshock, Halo 3, Viva Pinata, Gears of War, Eternal Sonata + a good 20 more) and the a shitload more to come (Mass Effect, PGR4, Too Human, Lost Odyssey, Cry On + more).

Wii = Metroid Prime 3, LoZ: TP and Excite Truck now and then SSBB + SMG later this year, Mario Kart the year after. I'd also reccomend Kororinpa, a nice sleeper hit, you're a marble.

PS3 = Heavenly Sword, MS and Resistance now, MGS4 and FFXIII later (Though the last two are obviously still under huge thoughts of going Multi-Plat, I still say we'll see FFXIV on the Wii).

Just my take, the 360 has the most games and ALOT more better ones, the Wii in second and the PS3 sitting in the backseat for now.

100% Agreed. So far, after 2 years of Next-Gen Gaming, I can honestly say that so far, that combo has rivalled all generations for me, including the 6th Gen. If you ever get both you'll see what I mean!

360 is pretty good. i dont have a PS3 or a Wii so i cant really say much about them.

i choose the 360 because

1) it has the best back catalogue of games
2) it has the best upcoming games list for the near future
3) most of my friends have one so i can trade games and have people to play on live with
4) Xbox Live! the best console network by a long shot.

i would get a ps3 and a wii. they're gonna have a bunch of good games in the next year, it comes with a blue ray player(unlike xbox 360), free internet game play (unlike xbox 360), the shit doesnt over heat and break every day and you have to pay for it to get fixed(unlike xbox 360). the truth is your probably gonna have to pay way more for the xbox 360 in the long run. Also i would get a wii, there cheap and they're games are fun to play, by yourself but with a group is funner. And they also have Metroid,Legend of Zelda,super smash bros, and mario galaxy.

I've got a 360 and a Wii. I don't play much video games. I will get Halo and play that likely, and will play the Dead Rising sequel. As for now, the only system that gets any playtime is the Wii. I play the party games when friends come over. It's a fucking blast.

It's more powerful than the Wii. It does alot more than the Wii. It has more Games than the Wii. It has more Higher rated Games than the Wii.

By that, the Wii must be fucking abismal, which it isn't.

I really wish the Wii would get some games with longevity. I love my Wii, but it's been getting 0 playtime. So far, the 360 seems to be the thing to get, being the frontrunner for fun games. The PS3, however, does now have Heavenly Sword. Combined with Resistance: Fall of Man and promising new titles, I think you should be satisfied with any of them.

However, if you do have your heart set on a PS3, I suggest buying a handheld for now, and wait for the ideas it has to come into fruition.

So in response to your question, buy a Nintendo DS so I can dig holes in your town in Animal Crossing.

X360 AND PC, you need nothing more. PS3 will never get more then one decent game, Wii isn't fun when you're alone.
