Every review website/magazine got that duffel bag for free. It's to check out the merchandise and review the game (go watch any "unboxing Halo 3" videos from IGN/1up/Gamespot). That guy is a fucking idiot.

If Halo 3 were to win GOTY, it would DESERVE it. It is nothing short of AMAZING. I loved every second of it, and I'm already on my second play through with a bunch of my friends over live on Legendary. Such a brilliant game that values substance over ZOMG BEST GRAPHICS EVER! (but the graphics are pretty damn good anyways).

I remember a xplay episode where they talked about the stuff they get from companies AFTER they review games. Like a "thanks for playing the game, even if you didn't like it." I remember SOE sent them a really nice sword for reviewing EQ2.
