Halo 3 Gave my 360 an STD.

What STD you ask? NONE OTHER THAN THE RROD.


After casually picking up my copy of Halo 3 on Thursday from Best Buy, I proceeded to venture home in an attempt to play this wonderful game. I choose campaign on Heroic, just for some challenge and so I could do Legendary later. At the first cut scene, my Xbox freezes.

Straight up freezes. Nothing I could do so I turned it on, waited a while, and then tried again. Yet again it froze, this time a little farther along. After restarting again I get the RROD.


Damn you Halo 3 and your cuddly appearance. I know what you truly are, a carnivorous wench that spreads your man pudding infested diseases.



Good news is, I can get it to work sometimes, and was actually able to beat the game on Co-Op. It works sometimes and then gives me the RROD other times. I have heard other people having this problem as well, and I can only hope that someone will address this issue.

Bad news is I can't play my 360 because the last few times trying have given me the RROD.

A buddy of mine went RROD with Halo though. I think it's just that many of us don't play that much, and all jumped on halo at once.

i might go to GAME, cos if you trade in a regular Xbox you can get a elite one for like £100 or something.

besides, having a PS3 can work to your advantages. Since all my friends have a 360 I can borrow theirs and play Bioshock or Halo3 anytime I want but if I wanted to play something like Warhawk or Lair then it helps to have a PS3.

Nope, and I'm pissed as fuck. Still for the games I want, I'm stuck with the 360. The only saving grace is that MS gave it a 3 year warranty...

i've had the RROD four times in the last week, including once when idropped it off the table.

My 360 RRoD'd a month or so ago. I get the replacement back today, and yep you guessed it, dead right out of the fucking box. Yay Microsoft.

my friend got a RROD and he phoned MS they sent him an email which he printed off and stuck to a box and put his Xbox in it.

they sent a courier to his house to pick it up and he got a new one back in just over a week. only thing is he lost all his saved games and shit.

you cant complain at that.

I still have my original xbox 360.....the one that I waited outside for 18 hours for on the day of the consoles release. I haven't had any problems with it.

Sure, tempt the 360 gods. You'll end up with RRoD just like the rest of us. The 360 knows when someone gets arrogant and it won't hesitate to put you in check.

i got the rrod like a year ago, but BEST BUY replaced my 360. im guessing hopefully this goes RROD so i get a "decent" 360. the 360 half pisses me off and half amazes me, its a bit like biting the hand that feeds ,really, but i do wish my gears of war cd was in working condition, not in a higher place ;(. i also have to say this one thing: anybody else notice how most of 360s killer games are fps's? just wondering, but i think this world needs a bit more platformers, and rpgs. but i still think the 360 kicks ass. id rather an unpredictable, risky console than a crappy, working one with shitty games.
