So what do you regret most in your gaming history? A Purchase made, time wasted, etc etc.

Personally I regret ever playing Eve Online, paying a monthly fee to be a corporate slave is not my idea of a good time, I have a REAL FT job and thats enough mindless work for me. Not a game for those who have independent personalities, but most if not all mmog's aren't and I'll probably never play a pay-to-play mmog again. Not that I'm here to bash Eve, it has it's good sides too.

I regret buying a lot of games. Mostly sports ones that don't hold their value and are replaced every year. I also regret buying expensive single player games with crappy multiplayer (ex: The Darkness) because once you beat them, there isn't much else to do with them.

I agree, Eve-Online was a game which you MUST of made your life in order to have fun. The people that did make it their life absolutely rave over it though.

I only paid $20.00 for it + free month.

Also the controls suck, NO space flight game should be point and click.

I've played some shitty MMOs in my day....WoW, Auto Assault, Sims Online, EQ, and Motor city Online...all quite a big waste of time

Yeah I completely agree on the controls, when your in space you don't get the feeling of being in space, not like in actual twitch based space sims where you physically have to control your ship and aim. I HATE 'queued action' games there's no fighting in them, only a mathematical equation that determines who wins.

Buying and playing World of Warcraft for nearly 2 years.

....and not buying Guitar Hero 2 when it came out. I just play it at my friend's house and am currently able to beat songs on hard and I am just gonna keep playing it until the third comes out. I made up for my earlier mistake and preordered the 3rd one!!! LOL! I beat Halo 3 and I don't even play online atm.. lol...

Must.... play.... guitar... hero... MOAR!

battlefield modern combat for 360. i played for about 3 hours online and it was the worst gaming experience ever. i played 6 games, and lost connection to 4 of them. the game was glitchy and the whole game is basically run around till you get shot or shoot somebody.

ZOMG, same here. I regret wasting $5 renting that piece of shit. Also, neglecting PC games and wasting too much time on consoles.
