So, here's my fanboyish side coming out. Is it me, or does a RRoD only come when the console overheats. And don't electronics overheat when they're used too much? Is it really a bad thing to talk about a console whose biggest problem comes from being played entirely too much?

Nah they overheat because of inefficient cooling. Playing it too much could go hand in hand with it, if the cooling is slightly under whats needed. A console could overheat in seconds under the right circumstances with nearly 0 cooling.

I can leave my computer on for weeks and it wont overheat.

Fact is Microsoft havn't made a 'shit console' they havn't 'fucked up' they have just seriously miss-delievered on the quality control in the production of Xbox 360 brand hardware.

Shit they managed to scratch peoples Halo 3 disks before they even got them in the 360 ...


Now since you are such a avid determined fanboy, you will no doubt hit back trying to justify the Xbox 360 as if I'm completely degrading it, you will point out how much fun you have and how dreaming about your 360 gives you wetdreams, you might even throw in some cheap shots at the PS3, however at the end of the day the Xbox 360 serves as a Games console giving people good games and giving people hours of joy each day, however Microsofts hardware quality is terrible and people who own a 360 will have to live with the inevitable rrod and hope to god the free repair system isn't so clogged up with other rrod they don't have to wait weeks to get a new one.

90% of them time, anyone who's talking bad about the 360 is a PS3 fanboy, so the natural thing to do is to talk about the PS3 as if to say, "You're kidding, right? You're gonna talk about my console when you own a PS3?"

And no offense, but how desperate does a person have to be to insult a console by admitting how good the console is at what it does, and then take it's biggest flaws and make them seem like something so horrible, you'd have to be stupid to ever buy a good console at a descent price with great games that might scratch a disc, and maybe someday show a red ring and have to be replaced for free. I mean, does it make more sense to spend more money on a console that seldom has problems that can't do much more than fold proteins and surf the same internet that everyone's had access to since 1995? I don't actually think you're a fanboy at all. It seems more like you're out to prove a point, and every time you have a point to prove, it's either disproven, or argued to no end. I agree with that. Received the limited edition with a black tar like substance on the outter edge of the disk as well as deep scratches near the middle of the DVD.

Returned the DVD for a new DVD, received a DVD with no black tar and less scratches in the middle. Still aggravating, the disk SHOULD be perfect from factory.

The way I see it is this...my 360 has worked perfectly for me for almost a year and I love it. I bought it knowing the issues, but also knowing that I really take care of my shit and that it has a good warranty. I bought it knowing it would take me forever to get my hands on a PS3. I bought it knowing I didn't want to drop 600 bucks on a console the second I got it. I bought it knowing there were plenty of games for it that I wanted.

All the rest of this shit is just bullshit arguments. Does the 360 fuck up? Yes. Does the PS3 fuck up? Yes. I'd say 90% of photos I see of RROD are of a 360 that's resting on the carpet.

What's my point? My point is that there are plenty of things in this world worth arguing about. Plenty of topics that can have positive outcomes based on arguments and discussions. What you have to realize about console wars...is that they are pointless! Xeoset...you are going to get nothing across to Random. Didn't Sony have the same quality problem with their Ps2? As i recall, that was still the #1 console by far, and they don't have the sweet warranties MS has.
