North Side Kings were to play with Danzig last night in Tuba City, Arizona. To make a long story short the whole show was a disaster and a few bands got bumped off. Mr. Danzig (or his managment??) refused to push back the original scheduled time slot so North Side Kings and Rapid Fire would have to play "after" his set. Whatever- we agreeded to play later because we drove 6 hours and didn't feel like going home without playing.

Needless to say, as soon as Danzig was finished, the venue turned on the lights and Danzigs crew and the staging company began to take the stage apart almost instantly. I confronted Mr. Danzig backsatge while he was signing autographs and told him I thought he was an asshole because of his "rockstar" attitude and no consideration twords the FEW other bands that got bumped off tonight. In a fit of rage he turned around and slammed me into the wall yelling "f*ck you motherf*cker" trying to be a big toughguy in front of his fans. I -in self defence punched him in the face knocking him out as he was attacking me again. He went down, bleeding from his mouth, eyes rolled back, and in shock that he got knocked to the floor so quickly.

A friend happened to tape the entire incident and this is all documented. Many witnesses saw him attack me, and I did what any man would do.

It was unfortunate that this went the way it did -and I hoped Glen Danzig learned a valuable lession tonight - Do not lay your hands on anyone unless you can handle what may happen.

I aploigize for nothing, except for the poor little kids that had to witness this big asshole get his ass kicked in a matter of seconds.....

If that is all true, you had a right to be pissed and confront him. He seemed a little pissed that someone would confront him and tried to be a big shot and push you. That was a beautiful punch, and there was an extra reason for Danny NSK to hit the imbecile. Earlier in the day, Runtzig had said something offensive to the NSK guitarist's wife. She was pregnant, and he called her fat. Now, that's to be expected of a 12-year-old boy, but a fully-grown (ahem) man of 48? Pathetic. Seeing him writhing on the floor, embarrassed beyond belief, was a hoot.

He was also beaten up by Viv Campbell (Def Leppard, and ex-Dio/Whitesnake guitarist) in '93, after he was rude to Campbell's wife! Viv knocked him to fuckity (:)) , and Runtzig went crying to his trailer.

It was reported that Runtzig has hit several women at gigs, yet he gets decked by every man he hassles. GOOD. His career has been ruined, and he was architect of his own downfall. :lol:

Glenn was singing and 'slapping fives' to the people in the front row and it looked like some kid grabbed Glenn's hand. Glenn pulled his hand back quickly and continued singing but only for a few more seconds. He then pointed at the kid, threw down his microphone, and in one motion he jumped off the stage with his arm already locked and loaded and clocked the kid right when he hit the ground. Needless to say it was a bit difficult to see what was happening down there. (Good thing I'm tall.) Anyway, the 'security guards' quickly pulled him out of there and he hopped back on stage, grabbed the mic and again, continued singing. He just kept pointing at that kid for awhile after that.

I noticed the link on this forum in our stats. There continues to be a huge number of individuals who come to the Metal Refuge specifically looking for that video. As you can see we have taken it down. We took it down because #1 there were so many people viewing it that it in effect shut down our server, and #2 because it IS old news, and #3 because we were asked to remove it by a well known artist in a metal band whom we respect deeply, who is close to Danzig. Hopefully Danzig learned something from the experience and has grown from it. We are hoping that people can let it go, move on, and perhaps give Danzig a chance to move on from it as well.

If a moderator is able, it would be great if the link to the file that does not exist anymore on the Refuge be removed from the post it is in to save people some time.

I have seen this video and watched it over and over several times and it is extremely disturbing. I have worked in state prisons before, and I have experience in sorting this type of thing out. But the following is only my personal opinion, my intent is not to offend anyone or upset anyone.

It appears that the Danny guy was provoking Danzig first of all by being in Danzig's face. If he is simply talking to Danzig, why does he have to be so close in him? ( I realize there are alot of people in the area)

However, if Danny is the more mature person, as it appears he is trying to portray, then Danny should have just let the push go and walked away - plain and simple. However, Danny opted to punch Danzig in the face and apparently caused physical injury. Under most state laws, this is a Class A misdemeanor, which should have resulted in Danny being physically retrained by police and taken to jail. In addition to that, Danny should be barred from the place where this occured. Danny should also be held 100% liable for any and all medical bills for Danzig's injuries.

So my judgement is:

Danny is guilty. Danzig was provoked and therefore innocent.
