ive rarely seen the name blockbuster under a fireworks name thats banned in a list with,m80's and cherry bombs.i saw it in the butterfly effect movie it looked like a stick of dynamite almost.does anyone know what it is or could compare how loud or powerful it is to an m80.

If it blew off Ashton Kutcher's arms, I'd suggest it's pretty powerful. Probably not as powerful as an m80 though.

o ya i forgot bout his arms.it prolly is more powerful then an m80 cause i knew this cop told me this kid went to relight an m80 and the thing blew like most his hand off but not his whole arm and the blockbuster is longer so prolly more flash powder inside of it.

there allot of rumors about m80's and blockbusters
first off.. a long time ago each stick of dinamite had a different about of power depending on the ratio of nitro gliceryn to the shit they put in it to make it stable.. some were huge.. some were smaller
typically a M80 was a 1/2 stick of dynamite.. but they also varied in power
and a Blockbuster was a 1/2 stick
with either of them if you let them sit they can "sweat" and the nitro glyceryn will come out of them (making them incredibally dangerious.. they can explode if there dropped)... but if they "sweat" they loose power when the nitro evaporates or falls off the end
so basically true m80's and blockbusters can vary alot... there could be m80's made that were more powerfull than certin sticks of dinamite
later on i belive they lessened the power of both and started using flash powder
at thet time a blockbuster should be 3 times the power of an m80, but i belive they made it closer because they thought that would also be too dangerious.. in the end kids were still blowing their arms off so they made them totally illgal.. you can still get them or make them in some places though
a blockbuster will make a cement block, or a sidewalk crack though if its placed in the right spot
